our reception is in a couple of weeks and we are having a rather unconventional reception...we want some fun, different music for the reception...definatel no country, but everything else goes! what ideas do you have??? our crowd is mostly in their 20's.

100% Q: Multi-cultural wedding reception music choices?

I'm having a small family only wedding and I'm not sure what type of music to play. There will be about 40-50 adults. 10 of the adults are Twenty somethings from Missouri. 6 are fifty somethings from Missouri. 8 are twenty somethings from Mexico and 6 forty somethings from Mexico. 8 are twenty somethings from san diego and 6 are fiftysomethings from san diego. Plus one set of grand parents from each location. How in the world do we possibly pick reception music? Does anyone have experiences that they can share?

A:Music is without a specific culture. It transends any language barrier. With that, I would seek either "quality" live music or a "professional D.J." Whatever you do remember rap offends many people, but classic oldies are recognized and loved by most people-no matter what country or how old they are.
