100% Q: Has anyone tried the injet printer refill at Walgreens Drug Store?

I noticed our local Walgreen's has a service to refill inkjet cartridges at their photo department (not all locations have this). Their cost is $10 for black and $15 for color to refill. Has anyone tried this and how did it work out for you?

A:I work in a Walgreen's, we have a lexmark printer/ fax in our office and we use photo to refill our ink jets, the only issue (which gets everyone in the department mad) is the cartridges have a chip which acknowledges the ink status (this is not a physical count) to the fax machine always indicates "low ink" when it is actually full. I like it, it's cheaper than buying a new cartridge. Also, your warranty on your printer may be voided if you get your cartridges refilled, so don't let the manufacture know. Walgreen's is having an ink jet day, call your local Walgreen's and find out the date so you can have it done for free (varies per store).

100% Q: Walgreens in Canada? Help!?

My husband and I will be visiting his family in Alberta for the entire month of July; I will need one of my prescriptions refilled while we are there. My prescriptions are listed with Walgreens, meaning I can get them refilled at any Walgreens location. Problem is, I have no idea if there are any Walgreens Pharmacies anywhere near where I will be. I've gone to the locator on the Walgreens website, but it appears to only allow searches in the United States. My question is, does anyone know how to search for Walgreens Pharmacies in Canada, or failing that, does anyone know if there are any Walgreens located in Calgary or Lethbridge, Alberta (both are about an hour from where I will be)? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

A:What you probably need to do is have your Dr. contact a physician located in Alberta where you'll be visiting asking that he write a prescription for whateve it is you need. A prescription written by an MD in the States likely wouldn't be honoured at a Canadian pharmacy since your MD isn't licensed to practice medicine in Canada.

I have accepted to pharmacy school and am planning on working at a retail pharmacy, preferably Walgreens due to location, next summer. I do not want to waste a month next summer trying to find a job, I would rather get a job now but start working next summer. What is the quickest way to securing employment for next summer? Thanks for your time.

A:First check with your school. Network the neighborhood pharmacy CVS WALGREENS great start. I am a Pharmacy Tech. It is hard and fast pace. Try to get a pharmacist or someone to take you under their wing so to speak. You will do better than I did being in pharmacy school and all. You will do fine. I like the street level but I really want the hospital and less public contact.
