us gas price history

Natural gas is a gaseous fossil fuel consisting primarily of methane but including significant quantities of ethane, propane, butane, and pentane—heavier hydrocarbons removed prior to use as a consumer fuel —as well as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, helium and hydrogen sulfide.[1] It is found in oil fields (associated) either dissolved or isolated in natural gas fields (non-associated), and in coal beds (as coalbed methane). When methane-rich gases are produced by the anaerobic decay of non-fossil organic material, these are referred to as biogas. Sources of biogas include swamps, marshes, and landfills (see landfill gas), as well as sewage sludge and manure by way of anaerobic digesters, in addition to enteric fermentation particularly in cattle.....

100% Q: Why are Americans upset over gas prices?
When the oil companies gave Americans the opportunity to put one of their guys in the white house almost 8 years ago, Americans jumped at the chance. George Bush has come through for his oil buddies big time: Exxon/Mobile made $10,890,000,000 PROFIT for the first quarter of this year and over $40,000,000,000 last year - the biggest profit in US history. And gas prices are up to $4.00/gallon! Way to remember your roots, George! But now many of the people who voted for and supported Bush have become flip-floppers! They decided they dont like want to funnel their money into the oil companies pockets anymore. Why? Why cant the people who voted for George be happy with the sacrifices they commited to make for the oil companies when they voted to put a Texas Oil Man in the Whitehouse?
A:makes perfect sence, gas gradually went up his first 6 years, and hoped for dem win in '06 to see gas go up a helen and can blame it on them dern lib rules who are in charge. bush and cheny are laughing at us suckers all the way to the bank.

100% Q: Is Mr. Bush the Most Taxing President in US History?
Bush might say he is not increase tax and cutting tax(for the rich in most part), and recently just return 600 bucks back. BUT to me he is the most TAXING person on earth, he is not just tax us on money he tax on everything in our life even our next generations to come. As soon as he became Prez. he taxed on my family jobs 75 percent ( three out of four in my family has lost job). He taxed on life of our young soldiers on his gamble in Iraq. He tax on US Treasury by putting $5 trillion in deficit hole and left our kids generations to pay for. Before he became Prez our gas price was $1.39/G now after his war on Iraq and buying more gas into Strtigic Oil Reserve he tax us to $3.50/G and the list go on. I think it is tax that he collect for his rich friends instead of US Government. What do you think? The real question I try to make is that he might not "really tax" our generation who can vote, but he is taxing the next generation who can't vote, and some might not even born yet. Is this the responsible way to tax people?

100% Q: So who gets paid for the high price of gasoline?
Are you aware that one of the oil company Chief Executive Officers made over a million dollars a day last year? His earings exceeded 400 million dollars; roughly $1.09 million per day. He collected while many people had to park their cars, could not heat their homes, could not afford gas to get to work; while all of us suffered the highest fuel prices in history! I have tried hard to think what a person does to be worth that much; create fuel shortages, manipulate the market, convince our government and the people that the cost is in the best interest of the consumer, create refinery accidents without injuries? I must be missing something; any suggestions?
A:Welcome to the REAL United States, where greed beats need any day.

100% Q: Why can't we seniors get together and work out a way to NOT buy gas, deisel, or oil for up to two weeks?
We seniors are the most discliplined people on the planet. If we planned it out, and all worked together, we could make a serious dent in the fuel consumption. Remember, oour numbers are higher than at any other time in history. Many of us are on fixed incomes and cannot afford these high gasoline prices. Any Interest out there? We need these gas prices to get back down!! I'm not against people making money, but not off the backs of those who can least afford it.
A:well i totally agree with what your saying, im down for the cause

100% Q: Who cares if the US military leaves Iraq?
Yes, total chaos & a massive civil war would break out but not only between Iraqi Sunni & Iraqi Shiites, it would include a massive fight between Sunni terrorists (Al Qaeda) & Shiite radicals/terrorists who would be killing each other & they wouldn't be able to even think about attacking the US or Israel for the next 10 to 25 years or more because they'd be too busy killing each other. The Mideast has been chaotic for the over 100 years. If US troops pulled out of Iraq it would just be another chapter of chaos added to the Mideast history books but the only harm the US would feel is higher gas prices for awhile but if it means saving the lives of US troops I'd gladly pay for more expensive gas. Wouldn't you? Would many 1000s of Muslims die in that civil war? Yes, but many 1000s are dying now, the terrorists haven't been eliminated, US troops are dying & Bush has no effective plan on how to win. You want another 10 years of stalemate in Iraq or a solution to this mess?
A:I like your idea....let them squabble it out on their own. If things get too out of hand we can always go back in and try and establish order. They don't want us there. Higher gas prices wouldn't bother me none, plus it would force us to think about alternative fuels. America does not belong there...period.
