I see movies on tv all the time that have bad words censored, like "Next Friday", but show other scenes that could be viewed as just as bad as a profane word (such as a fight where one guy has blood on his face in the movie "Next Friday") . I want to know how this happens. And how , whoever censors these movies, do they get around the first amendment? Because I just heard of "clean flicks" , a company who censors movies so they are fit for "the whole family" , being shut down for censoring people's movies. A:The FCC lays down rules about what can and can't be broadcast. If the station is sent over the air, rather than via a paid cable channel, the broadcaster must modify the movie to meet the requirement. The company will usually get a modified print from the distributor, or can modify it themselves. These arragements are approved with the film distributor, and disclaimers are always aired (modified for content, to fit the screen etc). The companies you mention did not have any relationship with the distributors. They modified the movies without permission, which is a copyright violation. This is not a first amendment issue, which protects your right to speak about anything you please - but rather about copyright and licensing of content.

100% Q: How do you remove songs or tv/movies from you iPod?

So i basically just need to know what i asked and give me some details about how to do it. Cuz my brother put some of his songs on mine and i dont want them and im done with the movies and tv shows i have on mine and i have no idea how to get them off. So please help =)!! A:If you are on a computer by yourself, meaning that only your ipod is synced with your computer, plug your ipod and check "only sync checked items" and uncheck anything you don't want. For tv shows/movies, go to movies on the ipod screen in your computer when you connect your ipod and you'll find a scroll down menu. Click "sync unwatched movies" or under tv shows, "sync unwatched tv shows". This removes already watched content from your ipod. Now for music, do what i described earlier, but if you share your library with another ipod, check manually edit songs/videos and delete them from your ipod from there.

A:Don't know about Japanese or Chinese movies specifically, but usually Western actors' lines are delivered really stilted and awkward sounding in Asian movies... even if the lines are in English. And any characters that are US military soldiers get a pretty bad depiction, generally: violent drunks, sexual predators, and abusers, all the way.

100% Q: Do you need experience in TV, movies and music to work in finance at major companies?

I know if you want to be the CEO or president of a record label like Sony BMG or Universal or the same for a movie studios and tv networks but do you need experience in these fields if you want to work in finance? I would like to some day become the CFO of a major company like the above mentioned.

A:Experience in TV, movies and music is not a common background for senior management of these companies. Let's look at a few of them: Time Warner- Chairman Richard Parsons: was CEO of Dime Savings Bank. John Martin, the company's CFO was an equity analyst at ABN AMRO. CBS-Sumner Redstone, the Chairman, is a Harvard law graduate.Les Moonves, the CEO came from Warner Brothers Television. Fred Reynolds, the CFO came out of Westinghouse Electric. In my view, the CFO of an entertainment company should have a primary focus on capital structure and financing decisions as well as access to capital. A finance background is more appropriate for reporting to shareholders, especially public company experience.

To get started in TV or movies. What is the best way to get into it? What do you have to do to get an agent? Find auditions??

A:first be in as many plays as u can, and also look for an agent, u never know, u might get one. having an agent is the only way to get really good auditions. to find agents i ur area, go to sag.com and click on "resources" (its halfway down on the right) then click on agent information and find an agent in ur area. u can call them and see if they want to schedule an interview or if they want you to send in your headshot and resume.
