100% Q: I am going to Puerto Vallarta Mexico with my 6 month old son. I was wondering if I should bring a car seat.?
I have heard that most taxis have the seatbelts cut out, so the car seat would be useless anyway. I wasn't sure about travel laws for infants- are car seats required for infants, and what about traveling on a bus? Also, is it acceptable to breastfeed in public? Any travel tips would be useful.
A:There are no laws about car seats in Mexico, but it would certinly be wise for your baby to have his. I have never seen seat belts cut out of taxis. Yes you can br.feed in public, just be discreet. I see it all the time, and if you didn't know what she was doing, you wouldn't notice. They usually just throw a receiving blanket over the baby and over their shoulder , or a shawl.
