A:It would really depend on your credit. A bank isnt going to give you a loan for 50% of a business unless you can show succesful prior experience and a rock-solid business plan. You might be better off finding a partner, perhaps an owner of an established Subway store who is looking to expand into your area. The upfront costs could then be shared, and after you've gotten a little experience, you could buy your partner out or open another location. Or you might also try finding a franchise advisor, who can help you get started. It might turn out that Subway is not the best choice for a starting franchise in your area. In either case, be prepared for A LOT (and I do mean a LOT) of work. 14-16 hour days X 7 days a week are common, and dont expect a return on your investment for 2-3 years. Good Luck

A:I'd say McDonalds. Houston is a fast-paced city, I live in south Texas and people are always talking about how in Houston things are GO GO GO! And since it's such a fast city McDonalds would fit right it! Subway is too slow.
