Street racing is a form of unsanctioned and illegal auto racing which takes place on public roads. Street racing can either be spontaneous or well-planned and coordinated. Well coordinated races, in comparison, are planned in advance and often have people communicating via 2-way radio/citizens' band radio and using police scanners and GPS units to mark locations of local police hot spots. (See participants, below). Street racing is reported to have originated prior to the 1930s due to alcohol prohibition in some parts of the United States. At the time smugglers of unrefined and illegal alcohol would try to find ways to make more power and achieve better handling from their engine and suspension. Aside from being the basis of stock car racing, this became common after the war, and as a result, it is credited as being the origin of drag racing as well.[1][2] Opponents to street racing cite a lack of safety relative to sanctioned racing events, as well as legal repercussions arising from incidents, among street racing's drawbacks. Most duels are drag races.....

100% Q: Does anyone else feel there are too many street racing games?

At first when I played Need for Speed Underground I was happy that something different was out. Then it happens. Game after game after game nothing but street racers were released. I'm pretty sick of them and I wonder if they'll disappear anytime soon. Hopefully after Pro Street comes out and the new Forza and GT games come out they will die with all of their repetitiveness.

A:omg! I know! thers wayy too many comming out and existing. Things change though when you strap some weapons to the cars.

A:because look at the racing games that came out a few yrs back. To me all r boring except MidNight Club: Dub Edition so it would be a waste of money to keep making that genre of games, except GranTurismo (standard). o yeah i dont kno wen it comes out

Does anyone know of a psp street racing game where you can free ride around a city. (I <3 love CRUISIN games!!!)

A:midnight club 3 is the only game where you can cruise around and pickup races. you earn money to trick your ride out or buy new rides. customizations include neon, paint jobs, rims, spoilers, body upgrades, engine upgrades, hydraulics, air bags, nitrous and much much more. rides include choppers, sports bikes, classic cars, muscle cars, luxury sedans, suvs, trucks, tuners, and more all ranging from class d to class a types. races include personal races(one CPU racer hosting a race), city races, club races, and tournaments. most races end in winning a car. i own this game and recommend it entirely. the graphics and music are great and up to date. the cars are real too like H2s and 3s, escalades, ducati bikes, west coast chopper bikes, and a lot more. midnight club 3 is a great game for your psp. click on the link below for cheats and reviews
