100% Q: Sample trip itinerary?
Do you have any 1 day Memphis Tenn. sample trip itinerary's .
A:The "must see" list would include the National Civil Rights Museum, which is one of the best museums of recent history anywhere. You might also want to see Graceland, Elvis Presley's home. Take a trolley ride around downtown and maybe go strolling along the riverfront, and spend the late afternoon and evening on Beale Street, the birthplace of the blues.

100% Q: Sample Itineraries for Backpacking through Europe?
I'd like to backpack through Europe SOLO this summer for 4-6 weeks and would love to get some sample itineraries of the MUST SEE cities as well as tips on the cheapest ways to travel, hostels, safety (single female), etc. My budget is $5000. Thanks!!!!!
A:If you go through the resolved questions on this site you will find many initeraries from people with questions and from people answering questions like yours. For a start, there is no way you can see all of Europe in just 6 weeks. So you will have to make a selection. If you are willing to play it by ear you can buy a return ticket to somewhere central in Europe and a rail pass and just take it from there. But most people want more of a plan. Make a list with what makes Europe for you, which towns and countries are musts for you. If you have heard stories about where your great grandmother was born you might want to go there. If your best friends parents told you about going to London and Paris, include them. But remember that western Europe is more expensive, Scandinavia most of all, that all big towns cost you more money than when you stay in the smaller towns of the country. Eastern Europe is cheaper and more of an adventure because less people speak English. I would advice you to stay at least 3 days in each big city you go to, and a few more days in the smaller towns and villages of the same country, that helps you orient yourself, and does give you a better view on life in Europe. Many people dash from capital city to capital city without even noticing the European way of life. Traveling by train and sleeping in hostels should be safe enough for a woman alone (I am and I do both without any doubt,) but keep to the normal safe behaviour. Like you would when you go to the town near you: Do not go into the park at night, do not show big amounts of money or cards, do not go home with people (men) you have just met, and so on. Travel by bus is cheaper, but also less comfortable and not all bus stations have a good reputation. The easiest way to safe money is doing your own cooking, or to have a cooked lunch somewhere and eat bread for dinner. Lunches cost less than dinners and at lunch time more cheap places are open. A good travel guide is the Lonely Planet series, as they list places to stay from the cheapest, where to go for food, drinks, museums and sights, how to travel to and in town, all with prices and quality warnings where needed.

100% Q: I have ten days to travel in Europe where should I go?
I have done the UK and want to spend ten days seeing the rest of Europe but dont know where to start. I love hiking and being outdoors and plan on being over there the second week of August. Does anyone have any suggestions or sample itineraries that worked for them.
A:South of France..do a train trip along the coast, Monte Carlo, Nice, Antibes, Cannes...then continue to Marsielles, then the train turns inward, and passes Avignon, and 5 hours after you leave Cannes, you're in Paris :)

100% Q: Has anyone driven from San Francisco to New York?
I will be driving to Ithaca, NY in a few weeks. I'm running on limited funds. I would definitely love to camp instead of doing the motel deal. I would also like to see amazing scenic places, or anything awesome, for that matter. If you could provide me a sample itinerary, that would be TREMENDOUS. Thanks, everyone!!!
A:i went from CT to CA in 2005 to come out here. i think i had an overnight in Ohio, in Nebraska, in Colorado, and in Nevada. maybe there was one more overnight but i can't recall where it was. since i was moving, i just booked it, me and my loaded car, and didnt do any stops and drove 12+hrs daily. i started off having a good time with the road trip, talking with people i encountered at rest areas etc, but then my first night at a motel in Ohio i ended up being stalked by some guy in the parking lot (out of state plates and full car told him i wasnt from the area) and it was terrifying and i definately was freaked out the rest of the trip, so i personally dont recommend camping just based on my experience. (thank GOD i had a door with deadbolt and chain! a tent wouldnt have been useful in my situation!!). but i was a woman all alone, so who knows. i had some bravado in my system prior to that bc a former boyfriend of mine was a long-haul truck driver and id go with him for months across country from east coast to colorado, michigan to texas and i thought that i was smart enough to handle myself from all the nights on the road, at truckstops or desolate rest areas. but it is different when youre with someone else vs alone, i guess. anyways, if you are a girl, please be careful!!!!!! and even if you are a guy, be careful too :)
