resume

A résumé, commonly written "resume", is a document that contains a summary or listing of relevant job experience and education. It is closely related to a similar document, a curriculum vitae (CV)[1] which focuses more on education, publications, and other accomplishments. Both are typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview, when seeking employment. The résumé or CV is typically the first item that a potential employer encounters regarding the job seeker, and therefore a large amount of importance is often ascribed to it.....

30% Q: How to escape from resume filter when applying for job?
I idiotically lost a job interview a couple of months ago. I applied again but they rejected it saying they have their resume on file and that I can't apply for the job again till one year from the date of the last interview. They have software which automatically compares a resume submitted with the resumes in their database. Has anyone been cunning enough to modify resume in ways that the resume filter software can't identify as duplicate? I desperately need to apply for that job.
A:As a professional recruiter, I have a couple of questions that need to be clarified. 1 Are you applying for the exact same position as before? 2 Are you applying for a different position than the first one? 3 What was the reason they gave you for turning you down the first time? If you are applying for the same job again, I would say you have a problem, but if its a different position with the same company; most companies will accept the resume and consider it just like they would for anyone who has never applied there before. Most companies and large corporations will consider you if you go to the HR Manager and explain that you are applying for a different position this time. If the reason they did not accept you the first time was because of something like a criminal background, or mental problems or something, then they will turn you down again. You need to find out why they turned you down the first time. Then go talk to the HR Manager or Director and explain your situation. But first find out why they turned you down originally.

30% Q: What is the most professional resume style to use when only having worked in food and retail?
I have only worked in the fast food industry and in retail stores. I know there are the high class resumes that people pay to make, but I want a resume style that will look the most professional for only having worked for fast food and retail, but I don't want to pay for a resume.

33% Q: If you were looking for a resume writer, where would you go to start looking first? What would you pay?
I've been writing resumes for friends and family for 15 years. Everyone says I am very talented and should do this for a living. So I created a really nice website, got set up for credit card payments, etc. But I need to know the best way to reach my customers. Three main ideas pop into my head, but I'd like to know, if YOU were looking for a resume writer, where would you look first? AND, how much are you willing to pay for the resume?
A:Advertise for free at www.craigslist.org...That is where I went to find a resume writer. Also, print business cards (staples has them, 1000 cards fr 19.99) and make sure that your site is printed on there) give these out to any and everyone you meet, send them to friends that live out of state so that they can give them to people as well. You can contact the Human resources Dept in major firms and offer to send them a hard copy business card or pamphlet (instead of an email) that they can include in the severance packages of terminated employees.

57% Q: How much should be paid for a professional resume' writer?
I have been in telecom sales and management for 25 years. Reduction in force requries me to look for another job. I have used the same resume with updates, same format for the last 6 years. Headhunters and potential employers say that my resume looks good but I am not getting results after 6 weeks. A resume' professional service critiqued and pointed out some viable potential improvements. They want to redo my resume' for $600. Seems pricey. Thoughts? If you are willing to help me revise my resume' please let me know how to contact you. Thanks G
A:That sounds ridiculous. Don't pay that much. Ask your friends and family. Better yet, ask YahooAnswers for resume help!
