A:my experience with refurbished phones has been bad. i went through 4 refurbed phones in just a couple of months. they were all warranty exchanges. i found them all to be of substandard quality. i think you would be better off buying a phone in very good used shape. say for example on ebay or yahoo auctions.

They range from really cheap ($19.99) to sort of expensive, depending on what you are looking for in a phone. I included the link to go to for just refurbished phones. The other link is refurbished phones under pre-paid. It is better to buy it prepaid since you can still use them and they prices for the first link is with a new two-year contract. For the second link, look for the word "refurb" before you purchase it. Another thing is that you are better off purchasing a phone online through their website since going in the store and by phone might end up costing you more money.

A:I can't say that I have but I know that refurbished typically means that a person bought an item and returned it for a variety of reasons but it is checked over by the company to be like new.

I got a Refurbished Cingular 3125 Cell Phone with a 2 year contract. It was like $30 but i think there's something wrong with it. Usually, Cingular gets full bars at my house but with my phone, it only gets 1 or 2 bars and sometimes even no reception. With my last phone, theRazr, I had reception pretty much everywhere in my city but with my new one, half my city doesn't get reception. Can i get it exchanged or return it and get a differnt phone?

A:depends if you had to sign a contract with it saying that you would take it and if you got insurance on it. i dont have cingular, but you might be able to get a new cell phone for full price or pay around a 200 dollar deactivation thingy...

Refurbish can be done to many things not just cellphones. I've bought many refurbished items before and they work just like new ones. If you buy from a well known company you should be confidence.
