recycling game kids
The X Games is an annual event with a focus on extreme action sports. The Winter X Games are held in January or February and the Summer X Games are usually held in August. Participants compete to win bronze, silver and gold medals, and prize money. The competition often features new tricks such as Tony Hawk's "900" in skateboarding, and Travis Pastrana's double backflip in Motocross. Concurrent with competition is the "X Fest" sports and music festival, which offers live music, athlete autograph sessions and interactive elements. The location of the Winter X Games is in Aspen, Colorado through 2010, while the location for the Summer X Games is in Los Angeles through 2009. The X Games also has international competitions and demos around the world that are held at varying times throughout the year. The games are shown live on ESPN and ABC television.....

Q: Does anyone remember an old PC game in which you played a dinosaur and had to recycle trash?
A friend and I in the early 90's used to play this computer game where your character was a dinosaur and you had to run around collecting trash and recycling it. One thing I remember most was that you went up to a volcano and threw in this glass jar which was worth a lot of points. Any ideas on what this was called? I want to pass it on to my little sister because I know it was one of my favorite games as a kid.
Thanks!
A:In my experience the degree of excitement surrounding the promotion of an old product in an environment of all new products almost always results in disappointment for all concerned, becuase it is human nature to improve on past experience (usually), in order to be better than the competition at any one point in time. A game from the early 90's will invariably be a low quality game. (in today's standards) Picture, sound and interactivity will all make the game seem boring and lame by comparison, having the opposite effect you sound like you want. The early 90's was when I was really into basic first person and third person PC gaming and would spend several hours a day every day trying new games. I do remember vaguely the game you describe, but do not remember the name (may have been "Monster Mash", as I remember liking that one, but i think that was about dino's in a city eating buildings and creating havoc). Good luck finding an answer, but for your little sister I'd suggest going to your local PC game outlet and getting a sims game or something like that.

Q: Ideas on "go green" games for kids age 5-15?
I am a planner for a non-profit corporate event with the theme "Go Green". We have plenty of ideas on entertainment and education for the adults of the group. However, we are looking for ideas to keep the kids busy for a couple of hours, as well as educating them on "green" principles.
Does anyone have ideas of "green" games that kids would enjoy? We have a few ideas (making recycled paper, the recycleable toss, conservation guessing game, dizzy bat trash cleanup) but are looking for a few more.
Possible topics include: energy and water conservation, wildlife and biodiversity, sustainable communities, buying locally made goods, composting, reuse, and how to speak out on environmental issues.
Please help me brainstorm.
Thanks!
Great Idea with the puzzle....teaching the innerconnectivity of all life. Thanks!
A:That's a hard one...
Maybe somehow make a giant puzzle and have it be pictures of endangered animals or animals effected by the environmental issues like polar bears etc...Kids usually get into helping out animals
Give out a prize to the kid who brings the most recyclables to the event (if you have a place to put it)
If you could borrow a smart car or one of those go-kart looking cars that might be fun
on a side note rechargeable batteries are the greatest thing for people with kids i can't tell you how much money you save with all those kid toys....

Q: What would you do for recycling project??
My 5th grade son has to bring in something recycled and make it into something that the class can benefit from..some kids are making math games out of objects....We are totally stuck..any suggestions that you can think of??
Thanks!!
By recycling, I mean taking something, like a can or whatever, and reusing it in another way to benefit the class or help the class...
A:Not sure if your school would allow this, but how about a red worm recycling bin? For scrap food.
Then the product, the dirt, could be bagged and sold giving the kids a chance at a business practice (math) and other people skills. They could even use the dirt to plant veggie starts or flowers (science) and give those away for Mom's day or sell them too.
I'd think that this would be an outstanding project to help the class. They could even add stuff from the cafeteria instead of throwing it away.

Q: I need to make a short, funny skit on recycling?
It needs a lot of laughs to keep the audience entertained. It also needs to be 3 minutes or less. I have a setting. Its at a basketball game, and kids are routing for the green team. They try to make a basket in the regular trash for a water bottle. When a girl walks up to them and tells them they should go green. Then question what go green means. She explains them what go grren means. Then......... i'm stuck. There are 3 girls in this skit. It has a young audience. I need an idea to keep going. No singing! Please help=^0
