50% Q: Has anyone ever seen in person a wedding cake made by Publix?
How did it look? I'm considering using them for my wedding. I know their cakes taste good.
A:I have seen them and they look just as great as the cakes at other bakeries. We have always used Publix for all our special occasions and have never been disappointed! Perhaps you could visit a few different Publix bakeries and see which one you are most satisfied with!

How much will this cost? Does anyone know, i have looked all over the Publix website and it does not give any prices. Its the "Romance" Wedding cake. I was just wondering if anyone knew how much this cake was or atleast how I could find out. THANKS :)

50% Q: Where is a good place to get wedding cakes? Around Charlotte, NC?
My fiance and I are in Atlanta, but our reception will be in Charlotte, NC...someone suggested Publix, but there is no publix in Charlotte. I don't want to drive from here to Charlotte with a cake in the car..and risk ruining it. Any ideas as to where I can get an inexpensive wedding cake?

50% Q: Can I use fake ribbons on my wedding cake?
I absolutely love the cakes made at Publix and so I'm having them make my wedding cake. One thing though...they do not use black icing. I want a white cake with small black polka dots or the look of ribbon on the edges. Can i buy black ribbon so they can use for the edge?
A:Can you talk face to face with the manager or the person who will do the cake decorating? Maybe if you supply the black coloring (get the concentrated kind especially for icing at a large party supplies store) they would make an exception for you? They only have to mix the concentrate with their white icing. Its worth a try!
If that fails, the ribbons would look nice but you cant have polka dots, so maybe experiment with different sizes and placement of the ribbons for the perfect balance.
