pediatric endocrinologist

My son has an appointment to see a pediatric endocrinologist tomorrow for delayed puberty, i am wondering if anyone knows what goes on at these appointments. Any input is apreciated. His pediatrician already ordered the bone tests, and blood work and that is all done, yet they say the appointment will take 1+ hour. Is there anything intricate involved in the physical exam?

I just turned 18 years old and saw a pediatric endo two years ago. I have always had short stature throughout life but part was blamed on my bone age being behind. I was continuously monitored and saw different doctors. I since moved away from my old pediatric endocrinologist who told me to come back in a year. Its now two years and i was wondering if I should go to a ped endo or a regular endo. Wouldn't a pediatric endo have more expearience with short stature? Problem is, its really hard to get an appointment with pediatric endocrinologist and cant get one until November. Opinions please!

(Let me first preface this in saying that my son IS SEEING a pediatric endocrinologist. I simply want to hear from other people who have zero testosterone!) My son, who is fifteen and a half, has been tested and has a zero tesosterone level. His other bloodwork, including LH and FSH, is perfectly normal My ex husband says that he's fine, he's just late, but does having a zero level mean there's a definite problem, or is it possible he's just late? Also,. I do know that males of ANY age are supposed to have some level of testosterone, even infants. I know what the levels are for each age. Thank you! As an anecdote, he has not begun puberty at all, obviously. He has the same genitals and (lack of) hair that he had as a two year old. He has absolutely no body odor.

i was diagnosed with cushing's syndrome a few years ago (i had a tumor on my adrenal gland that was causing me to produce too much cortisol) and had the tumor removed. i've been ok for 2 years; then i started feeling reeeeally sick again and getting new stretch marks on my legs when i haven't gained any weight, and a ton of other odd symptoms, almost all to having excess aldosterone. i went to 2 doctors, and neither of them want to test for high aldosterone, even though it could quite be a possibility. i went to my pediatric endocrinologist at dartmouth hitchcock hospital, and he told me he would check it, but he DIDN'T. and his nurse lied to me and said that it was fine. when my regular doctor went to look it up, it wasn't there. so they never did it. now my regular doctor isn't convinced with the aldosterone thing either, and he said that he was gonna take a blood test for it. but all the tests i've read about online are urine. is my doctor bullsheeting me? what should i do?

My daughter is seeing a Pediatric Endocrinologist to be tested for this, I have researched it myself and was just wondering if anyone had personal experience with this type of diabetes. Yes it does make you use the bathroom a lot. Just wanted to hear from someone what has it and what has worked or not worked for them etc.
