100% Q: According to "Oxford Dictionary" does "Anxious" ONLY mean "fearful"?

Can someone confirm for me that the "Oxford Dictionary" (please dont use other online dictionaries since i already have) define "anxious" to only mean "fearful" (derriving from the word anxiety) and nothing more? I always figured that most poeple who used the word "axious" were using it imporperly and would use it to mean "eager and excited" while it should mean "fearful" derriving from the word "anxiety". So i checked dictionaries and noticed that it could be both...seems very contradictory...but can someone tell me, what does the definitive dictionary: Oxford Dictionary say about this word....from my quick findings i notice that "Anxious" can only mean fearful NOT eager.... can anyone give me a detailed response and not a quick cut-paste from any online dictionary since i have already checked them?
