I was wondering if it is legal to get an online doctors consultation and purchase the medicine

A:That is a very interesting question. I don't see why not in theory at least. Although I only council local patients, when I work for NHS24 Scotland (NHS Direct in England). We do telephone triage where we may choose to deal with the patient over the phone and again phone their prescription to a local chemist. ( we post it on later). I don't think it would work well typing questions back and forth, but a web-cam would work. About 70% of GP diagnoses are estimated to have been made before the examination of the patient takes place.
