A:the 08 Ford Focus is not as nimble or fresh as it once was. they dropped the hatchback and the wagon. look at the Honda Ridgeline, Toyota tacoma & Nissan Frontier. Ford f150 can run you $36K and only gets 13mpg, it is due a makeover in 2009. the Ford ranger's engine is dated an not as powerful as it's competitors. Ranger also is not high on customer satisfaction lists. if you like Ford and choose a car instead of a truck, the Fusion and the new Taurus (500) are both good values for the money. test drive a Ford Explorer Sport Trac it has the short truck bed but still has plenty of interior room. the Honda Ridgeline handles well and can do light off roading and tow 5K lbs. It's fit and finish are above average and you know Honda's are built to last and retain their value in the future.

A:I'd recommend a Mazda 6 mate...Right, your Mondy, value wise somewhere around £1,300 to £1,800, it depends how desperate the salesman is to sell on the day. If you don't get no joy from the Salesman, tell him or her that you're looking elsewhere and that you've had a much better deal at another garage (don't mention which one). It really is a buyers market right now, you've just got to go in there and be aware that they want the deal from you. Oh and don't buy additional extras (Supaguard, rear sensors etc) as these tend to be inflated beyond belief. If you hit the right salesman, try to get him to throw these perks in with the deal. And if you have no joy with the salesman, ask for the "DP", that's the Dealer Principal as you'll usually find them to be more interested in getting the deal done and dusted.Good luck on the motor!
