A:Installing a factory navigation system in a Toyota that was not originally equipped with it is, in my experience, next to impossible. I'm a member of a forum for Toyota Solara drivers (Basically a two-door Camry), and I know guys that have tried to put factory navigation systems in and could not because the "brain" of the car, the ECU, differs between cars that have navigation and those that do not, even if it's the same make and model. (Like a 2007 Camry Solara SE without navigation versus a 2007 Camry Solara SLE V6 with navigation.) You can buy very nice aftermarket navigation systems made by Eclipse, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, etc. for around $600-700 and these will fit most any make and model. Expect to pay at least that much for a factory navigation unit, but expect that compatibility will likely be an issue with your Camry just like with the Solaras of the people that I know.
