nbc channel 30

Is it really live because the lighting of the Olympics is at 7:30 PM tonight on NBC yet isn't the start at 8:00PM in Beijing which is 8:00 AM in USA eastern?

Dunno if i will be able to get any help with this but i'm looking at the Yahoo TV listings. I put in my zip and dish network (satellite provider). All of it is right except it shows some other channels i don't seem to have. There are 2 extra NBC channels located on channel 241 and 242, but if i look in my satellite menu screen, those channels aren't there. I have 'show all channels' selected with my Dish but those ones don't show up. There are also 2 other CBS and ABC channels in the same area that i can't find. I think they are from different TV affiliates. Anyone know what the deal is? I ask because there's a show coming on tomorrow at 10:30 i want to see, but i won't be home then, I will however probably be home at 11:30, which is when it will be re-airing on one of the additional NBC channels that the Yahoo TV listings say i should have. Hope someone can help, thanks. I don't like the sound of that. First of all, i don't want to watch TV on my PC monitor. Second of all, first it says it's free and then later in the page says it costs $50. Thanks but no thanks.

What dooes the 30 basic tv channels include? ABC, NBC, and what else? I am thinking to get them, since Cable is so expensive... and Id like to know exactly what does it include. Thanks!

I've been to several International Olympic websites and checked out their own coverages and their photos and bios. I been to the Seven Network in Australia, BBC Sport, TV One in New Zealand, CBC's Olympic coverage in Canada, CCTV in China, the network China would broadcast the Olympics, NHK in Japan, RAI's Olympic coverage in Italy, ARD/ZDF in GErmany, France 2 in France, the NOS network in the Netherlands whech would cover Pieter van den Hoogenband in swimming, TV Azteca/Televisa in Mexico, ERT in Greece, MBC and SBS in Korea, so many to mention! Tried to access their Olympic videos but it is blocked by a non-native ISP provider. Some websites are 'liberal' and you can view their Olympic videos here in the U.S. And also language barriers are the problem if you visit a non-English site. Have you ever watch the opening ceremony online on a foreign Olympic website (other than NBC)? The CBC in Canada had the Olympic opening ceremony live on TV. As well as the BBC in the UK. But American viewers had to WAIT until 7:30 pm to watch it. Unless you live in Detroit or Niagara Falls, NY, they would 'cheat' the NBC and change the channel to CBC live Olympics. They still can't access to online videos to foreign Olympic sites like the Seven Network, BBC, TV ONE, RAI, etc. Other networks that covers the Olympics online are 'liberal.'

i just got dishnetwork system, i bought it because of all the HD stations the have over 30 somthing. anyway, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW are not in HD. the technician said that local channels are broadcast in hd already and all i need is a antenna to hook up to my hd receiver, and it will pick up all of them in HD. is this true, how does it work, what type of antenna, where, and price range?
