100% Q: I need information to travel to Mexico... so help please? ?

I'm 16 yrs old and my mom wants to send me to Mexico(Acapulco, Mexico to be more exact) as soon as possible but is wondering what do I need to go to Mexico and come back to the US. I don't have a passport(parents haven't gotten it yet but soon enough they will) but what I do have is my birth-certificate, and my California Identification card. So what can I use to travel to Mexico and come back from those two items I have.

100% Q: Where can I get information on traveling to Belize or Mexico and not get sucked into the "tourist" trap?

We would like to see things like the pyramids and the rain forest. I have looked at the planned vacations and that is just not us. We need the freedom to change our minds and reschedule and not have to do the extra stuff like group dinners.

A:Before I book anywhere I go to tripadvisors. You find out the places that are worth seeing from regular people who have been there and also the places to stay away from. I do this for hotels, activities everything...Its a great tool

100% Q: Information on traveling to Cancun, Mexico?

I heard that it's important to have the American Consulate information while traveling in Mexico. What other information should I have?

A:Make a copy of your passport in case you lose it. The american consulate is right behind the daddyo's in a glass building. Cancun, Mexico is great. Beautiful beaches, weather and great nightlife. Enjoy yourself. Also, be warned that the tequila and vodka in the clubs is very very cheap and can get you sick. If you drink, I would recommend that you request top shelf liquor. Otherwise you will HATE yourself in the mornings! But Enjoy Cancun, its a very nice place!

100% Q: state travel information for the united states?

I'm planning on departing from Maryland and going through Ohio and west to Mont. wym. N&S Dakota, Calif, Ariz, Colo, Nev. New Mexico, Texas, to Fla and possibly Key West before heading back to Md. Looking for State Travel magazines or booklets put out by States.

A:I would check online at each states website. They may have something like that. Also, check with your travel agent, they may have some for states around you, or at least a few that you are looking for. I would also try running a search to see if anything comes up that way. You may be able to print off some information from the internet to save some money. Sorry I don't have any other ideas. This isn't something I normally use. You could also check with your local library/book store to see if they have anything you could buy/borrow for your trip.

100% Q: I'm traveling to Mexico. Can you give me some information about the cities?

In Mexico, how are the people? Which mexican cities are safe? Which cities aren't in poverty, where a young adult can have fun and enjoy himself? My deepest fear is getting robbed or something, people do desperate things for money you know.

A:Stay away from cities near the US-Mexico border... any beach city like Cancun, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta etc.. should be safe and with many tourists, so nothing bad happens often. Mexico City is both safe and very dangerous. As long as you stay in the city near all the historical buildings, shopping centers etc, it is fine. But going on the outskirts where there is no people on the streets is bad. The mexican people are all nice and welcoming ( I know this from experience in my trips down there) and they will help you out. Many know English in busy tourist cities, if you were to need help.
