medical records office supplies

My grandmother is having an issue getting her medical records from a doctor that she has went to for many years. When she ask about her medical she is told that the medical records were entered into a computer and now the office is unable to retrieve the records from the computer because the doctor that set up the system is no longer working at that office. The doctor left the office under unexplained circumstances. When she asks about the paper copies, the office employees never supply a clear answer. Does anyone have any suggestions about how she may be able to force the doctors office to provide these records. She is trying to find a good doctor but it's hard for the doctors to understand her condition completely without her extensive medical history. Also, is it legal for a doctor's office to convert medical records to electronic form and not keep a paper copy? Any help will be appreciated.

Let's assume, a hospital buys products/services (be they medical equipment, vehicles for transporting patients, staff members, patient records, office supplies, furniture) on credit. And then, the hospital defaults on its payments. Where does this debt go? Does it get sold off to a collections agency or a debt seller? Could you be more specific as far as how this whole scene works?

Reception: High-visibility of public relations, greeted and assisted public, answered several types of switchboards, multi line telephones and intercom systems. Directed calls to assigned personnel and departments. Responsible for picking up, distributing and delivering mail, office supplies inventory, petty cash, and delivery and pick up of documents to courts and law firms.

Well, Im 19. And I currently work with temporary fence. The type you set up for special events. I am the forklift operator I load everything from the stands to fence and the private green screen. Before this I was a telephone operator, with a "copy service" (the type of company that retreived medical records for insurance purposes). Before that I worked with Apple One the temporary job agency. While at apple one I woked with . WIC, The chancellors office and Cal State Long Beach, A+ events in long beach. and a file clerck for a medical supply company named Qual-pro Before that I worked with the Long Beach prosecutors office then fired becvause of my record. (taken care of) before that I worked with an Environmental place doing office assistant work named Justice and Associates. All that for completing long Beach Job Corps. What should I do? I feel stuck i dont have my license i dont have any college education, I am tired of smelling the porta potties!!!! lol
