I have worked in a doctor office for 2 years, I have been offered a position in DME Customer Service. Has anyone done this? it seems easier than a receptionist for busy doctor office. Please help any info appreciated!

A:It's different. Customer service is just as important and you may have less downtime but I bet it will pay a lot better.

100% Q: Can a non-MD run a medical office?

I'm wondering if it is legal to run a medical office / clinic without actually being an MD? As an example, say I open an office, supply all the medical equipment and hire several MD's to work in this office. I am not a doctor...so can I still do this? I am in Los Angeles County. thanks.

A:A private practice can be owned by anyone. However the rule in most places in the world is that only one who is qualified to do so can practice medicine. If your role in the business is only the business side of it then yes it would be legal. However, wether you would be able to attract doctors that would work for you instead of for themselves is another matter. Good luck with that.

100% Q: What type of modern office and diagnostics are doctors and medical staff wanting to work with now?

is there a standard or do most private or clinical facilities take what the can get in order to practice? Do most want modern NEW equipment or "recycled"? I only want doctors to answer this question please. Then let's have those medical office staff also have a shot at answering this question. Can you all help me out with the type of office or diagnostic equipment that would make doing your job easier?
