This is a field that is of intrest to me, but I want to know what it involves. What are daily tasks? What salary is average? Can some one please help me out with this. I am considering going to a comunity college for this type of degree. Any help is greatly appreciated.
A:I'm in college majoring in Medical Office Admin. It takes 30 classes to complete the degree and I have 7. :( I have the same questions you have. I really hope it leads to a decent job when I'm done. I work as a CNA and I know I don't want to do it for much longer.
During the last semester there is an internship at my community college. I hope I get a chance to see other people actually working in the field then.

A:If you are going for administrative types of positions (Dept Secreatary, Clerical, etc) they are considered entry level. if you are looking Administration (Manager, Supervisors, Leads, Directors), the pay can be lucrative, but usually takes year to build up the experience necessary to be eligible for that kind of position. Supervisors make $35-50K, Managers $40-60K, Directors, $50-80K, above that are Administrators (CEO, CFO, COO, Executive Directors) and is upward of $70/80K DOE.
