100% Q: Is "The Rev." Martin L. King Jr. a role model for young hoods everywhere?

With all the crime today it is sad to know that the best role models that Black Americans have are people like O.J .Simpson and Martin L. King Jr. With O.J. Simpson we don't have proof that he killed his White wife but we do know that he takes the murders lightly. As for Martin L. King Jr. We have FBI proof that he cheated on his wife with prostitutes and proof that he cheated (plagiarized) his doctoral dissertation. It would therefore be foolish then to call him Dr. King, as it would be like calling Mickey Mouse, Dr. Mouse (rather silly).If these guys where White they would be ridiculed as the most pathetic individuals on the face of the Earth but because Blacks don't have role models they are elevated to role model. Pathetic!

100% Q: small town full figured young woman seeking big town fame?

100% Q: To everyone who asks how to get started as an actor especially the young kids...?

First of all, you can't get into Disney channel auditions without being represented by a real agent. You can't get into ANY auditions without rep. People with years of professional experience have a hard time getting signed by a real agent. You have no chance at all without professional training. There is no such thing as a modeling/talent scout. Real agents have experienced professionals beating down their doors to get signed. They don't send people out to malls to "discover" new talent. Anyone who approaches you is a scammer. If you want to be an actor you need to train. If you are doing it to get famous forget it. You won't. If you want to be an actor you can be one. If you want to be a star quit now. If you want to get work you have to live in L.A. or N.Y. Your local talent agent can't get you into auditions there. It's hard to be an actor. Have some respect for the profession and the craft. Not to mention those of us who have devoted our lives to it.

A:There is a lot of truth to what you are saying. There are a lot of questions I see here that say how can I get Disney Channel auditions. EVERY kid wants to be on the Disney Channel. There are so many things that you need to know to become an actor/actress. I am definitely not saying go for it (for those who want to do it), but you need to know what is expected of both you (& especially your parents). There is a lot of time involved where your parents will have to take off work just for the possibility of getting a job. If you do not have the support of your parents, then I'd say you'll have to wait until you are an adult. Any kid that wants to be an actor has to have first and foremost patience and the ability to wait for long periods of time. If you do not have an agent, there is no way you can find out about auditions that are not open calls. I think getting chosen at an open call is like winning the lottery. You can get lucky, though, as my son did and got a few jobs after signing with the agent. We live in Las Vegas and was told that we would have to go to LA for most work. I am also fortunate in that my child has the patience to do this kind of work. It is, hard work, some of the hardest work I have ever seen and I definitely say actors and actresses definitely earn what they receive. My son had to do something repetitively (in the hot sun) for a few hours. In the end, he enjoyed all of it and that leads me to believe he was meant for this. It's not easy!
