kidney surgery

There are a number of documented cases of historical figures and distinguished members of society who suffered from nephrolithiasis, which are commonly known as kidney stones, or from urolithiasis, where the stone forms in the urinary system. These are crystal deposits that can accrete in the urinary system when certain chemical substances become concentrated in the urine.[1] Among the symptoms associated with nephrolithiasis are intense colicky pain, nausea, fever, chills, and the reduction or blockage of urine flow.[2] Historically, the condition of having a kidney or bladder stone was referred to as "the stone" or "the gravel".....

100% Q: My friends mother needs kidney surgery, she lives in Nigeria, and we need to know where we can get money forit
My friends mother needs kidney surgery, and she lives in Lagos, Nigeria. She has 4200 of the 5500 needed for the surgery. Does anyone know of a not-for-profit organization that can help fund this, any help is appreciated. Please help me help her mother.
A:Your friend's mother? How well do you know your friend??? If it is someone you met on-line recently, it is surely a scam. Before you send any money to West Africa, start by considering the fact that scams are common. Here is a partial list of indicators. If any of them sound familiar, you are likely the victim of an internet scam. -You met a friend/fiancé online -You’ve never met face to face -Your correspondent professed love at warp speed -Your friend/fiancé is plagued with medical problems requiring loans from you -You are promised repayment upon release of some inheritance -You’ve sent large sums for visas or plane tickets but the person cannot seem to make it out of his/her country - Payments are to be made by Western Union -When your friend does try to leave the country, he/she is detained by immigration officials demanding payment or bribes -Your correspondent consistently uses grammar & spelling not in-keeping with his/her supposed education level Cases bearing these hallmarks have all proven to be scams intended to separate sympathetic people from their money – also known as confidence scams, romance scams or 419 scams. Do not to send money to people you’ve have never actually met. If you do and lose money, be warned that your chances of getting it back are nil. This type of crime is not a priority for local police, even if they had the resources to tackle it. Victims can report the scam on www.ic3.gov and might also consider alerting the dating website on which the scammer was encountered. Some facts and resources: -It is very difficult to recover money sent to these scammers as they work from internet cafes and are entirely portable and elusive. -Thousands of people have reported losing thousands of dollars through such scams. -The anonymity of the Internet means that you cannot be sure of the real name, age, marital status, nationality, or even gender of the correspondent. -U.S. citizens may refer to http://uscis.gov or www.travel.state.gov for authoritative information about the immigration process and the true costs involved.

100% Q: How long does a kidney transplant surgery take?
I'm learning about diabetes and i'm wondering how long a kidney transplant surgery takes?
A:Transplants are dangerous and not necessary. If a complete cleansing is done, and the right diet followed, the body will rectify itself. Have you already gone through the full kidney and colon cleansing processes? Kidney cleanse is any procedure that involves drinking a huge amount of liquid, and taking care what you are eating. Just a better diet with more water can be enough! But, also any form of bowel cleansing will also help kidneys! The Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet is also a Kidney cleanse, juice fasting is also a kidney cleanse, and any other form of fasting that incorporates a lot of liquids, will in the same time clean a kidney. Do you need special herbs? Only if you have acute lower back pain, clear symptom of Kidney stones (sharp glass like crystals, made of phosphoric acid, or sometimes may include other acids). In special occasions, you can get a kidney stone crystallized in less then a few days !!! To melt a stone/stones, you may need a few weeks, or one day with the Watermelon Cleanse. Recipes for Kidney Cleanse: Herbal Kidney Clease Watermelon Cleanse Water Cure More on kidney cleanse herbs Herbal Kidney Cleanse Designed by Dr. Hulda Clark from her book "The Cure for All Disease", explains in detail how to cleanse the kidneys, and her cleansing program will get rid of most if not all the stones, WITHOUT surgery. Ingredients: 1/2 cup dried Hydrangea root 1/2 cup Gravel root 1/2 cup Marshmallow root 4 bunches of fresh parsley Goldenrod tincture (leave this out of the recipe if you are allergic to it) Ginger Capsules Uva Ursi capsules Vegetable glycerine Vitamin B6 250mg Magnesium oxide 300mg or 1/4 cup Green Drink Beverage Measure ¼ cup of each root and set them to soak, Together in 10 cups of cold tap water, using a non-metal container and a non-metal lid (a dinner plate will do). After four hours (or over night), bring liquid with soaked herbs to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Drink a ¼ cup as soon as it is cool enough. Pour the rest in through a bamboo or plastic strainer into a sterile pint jar (glass) and several freezable containers. Refrigerate the glass jar. Find fresh parsley at a grocery store that does not spray its produce (ask the owner). Boil the fresh parsley, after rinsing, in 1 quart of water for 3 minutes. Strain out the liquid, then drink ¼ cup when cool enough. Refrigerate a pint and freeze 1 pint. Put the cooked parsley in your compost bucket. Dose: each morning, pour together ¾ cup of the root mixture and ½ cup parsley water, filling a large mug. Add 20 drops of goldenrod tincture and 1 tbs. of glycerin. Drink this mixture in divided doses throughout the day. Keep cold. Do not drink it all at once or you will get a stomach ache and feel pressure in the bladder. If your stomach is very sensitive, start on half this dose. Save the roots after the first boiling, storing them in the freezer. After 13 days when your supply runs low, boil the same roots a second time, but add only 6 cups water and simmer only 10 minutes. This will last another 8 days, for a total of three weeks. You may cook the roots a third time if you wish, but the recipe gets less potent. If your problem is severe, only cook them twice. After three weeks, repeat with fresh herbs. You need to do the kidney cleanse for six weeks to get good results, longer for severe problems. Also take: Ginger capsules: one with each meal (3/day). Uva Ursi capsules: one with breakfast and two with supper Vitamin B6 (250mg): one per day Magnesium oxide (300mg): one a day Take these supplements just before your meal to avoid burping. Some notes on this recipe: this herbal tea, as well as the parsley, can easily spoil. Heat it to boiling every fourth day if it is being stored in the refrigerator; this resterilizes it. If you sterilize it in the morning you may take it to work without refrigerating it (use a glass container). There are probably dozens of herbs that can dissolve kidney crystals and stones. If you can only find several of those in the recipe, make the recipe anyway; it will just take longer to get results. Remember that vitamin B6 and magnesium taken daily can prevent oxalate stones from forming. But only if you stop drinking regular tea and cocoa. Tea has 15.6 mg oxalate acid per cup. A tall glass of iced tea could give you over 20 mg oxalate acid. Switch to herb teas. Cocoa and chocolate, also, have too much oxalate acid to be used as beverages. Remember too that phosphate crystals are made when you eat too much phosphate. Phosphate levels are high in meats, breads, cereals, pastas, and carbonated drinks, eat less of these, and increase your milk (2%), fruits and vegetables. Drink at least 2 pints of water per day. You can dissolve all your kidney stones in 3 weeks, but make new ones in 3 days if you are drinking tea and cocoa and phosphate beverages. 100% Q: What are some of the problems that might develop after Kidney Stone Surgery?
After Kidney Stone surgery I could not urinate. A catheter was installed in my penis. Is this a common problem after this type of surgery?
A:I just had lithotripsy on January 27th 2006. I didn't immediately have any problems urinating. I started passing the broken stones a few days after the surgery. It wasn't until I started passing these stones that I have had problems urinating. It has been 8 weeks since my surgery and I'm still having problems urinating. I'm not sure if it is because of the stones passing OR that the stones that have passed or are passing caused a urinary tract or bladder infection, which I heard is sometimes common. It doesn't surprise me that you had to have a catheter installed after this surgery. I'm curious to know if this provided some relief. I've not heard that it is common, but again I'm sure it is not unusual. I hope things have improved for you.

100% Q: How long after surgery (kidney donation) must you wear a foley catheter?
I will be donating a kidney in a couple of weeks, and I read that I would wake up from the surgery with a foley catheter in my bladder. I don't particularly like the sound of that. Is the catheter mandatory? what does it feel like? does it hurt? Will I be able to pee ok when it is taken out? Will I have to walk around with it, or will they take it out right away? I have never had anything put down into my peter, and I don't lie the thought of having to walk around for days with this thing stuck in it. Anybody know the answer? I know this is kind of gross, and I should be worrying about more important aspects of this.
A:You said Foley Catheter! HAHAHA!
