100% Q: How could i Start an Internet Cafe Business here in the Philippines?

I would like to know what would be the cost and the procedures on how to start an Internet Cafe Business in therms of Franchising

A:The best arrangment in my opinion is to share an internet connection. Find a computer store maybe that has space for a cafe next door. Share their connection. They will be using the bandwidth mostly during the day and you would be using it mostly at night. Also if you let them provide the computers for your cafe and put their name on it then they get advertising. And you get free labor and maintenance taking care of the machines. You probably should offer them price breaks on their coffees and donuts. You help them and they help you.

100% Q: Do you recall when and where did you use internet cafe service in the Philippines?

I am currently doing some research study about history of Internet cafe in the Philipines. I thought Yahoo Answers Philippines is a good community to do a survey. Thanks for the help! It doesn't need exact date and place. If you mention internet cafe franchise and/or company name, it would be a great help. what I mean was : Do you recall when and where was the FIRST time, sorry if my sentence was bad. A:i was a 'suki' in our neighbor internet cafe in marikina. i was there almost every weekend, and a few times during the week as well before i got my own computer, hehehe. as to when i started, it was sometime early 2000. back then, the rental was 50-60 pesos per hour! as for internet cafes, i've used netopia at farmer's market in cubao; also this internet cafe in sm megamall, i just forget the name at the moment; and pacific internet cafe at the cyber area in sm megamall too. i remember netopia as the first major franchise that i saw springing up almost everywhere in metro manila. i also went to some internet rentals in laguna, but these were more like the local ones, not franchises. that was around 2003.

how does one open this type of franchise (if it is a franchise) and why is it so secretive?

A:You did not say what city you are in, so I can't respond to that. However, here in the US, currency exchanges are frequently operated by banks, although there are no laws I'm aware of that would prevent individuals from going into this business. Hope this helps.
