immigration canada
Immigration to Canada is the process by which people migrate to Canada and become nationals of the country. As Canada is a relatively new country, a formal immigration process has not been around for very long. Nevertheless, people have been migrating to the geographic region of Canada for thousands of years, patterns varying. After 1947 domestic immigration law went through many major changes, most notably with the Immigration Act, 1976, and the current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act from 2002.....

100% Q: What do I need to send to get a Police Certificate from California for immigration Canada?
I am an American citizen living in Canada and applying for Canadian perment residency so I need a police certificate from the state of California. I went to the website (http://ag.ca.gov/fingerprints/index.php) and it said that I need to provide the fingerprint card, fee and the request letter I received from immigration Canada. I called the bureau at the number from the website and it had a recording which said I need to have special forms mailed to me.
Can I get the police certificate by just sending the fingerprint card, fee and request letter from immigration Canada or do I need to submit the request using the forms from the California Department of Justice?
A:If you are interested in immigrating to Canada, you have a number of options when applying for permanent residence status: Skilled Worker Class Immigration,Business Class Immigration,Provincial Nomination,Family Class Immigration,International Adoption, & Quebec-Selected Immigration (see Link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.html )

See that you did not apply before entering Canada, I can't establish the need for a police certificate. It is usually not required. Canada will accept anyone convicted of a serious crime for citizenship or permanent residence.

100% Q: immigration canada?
what is hrsdc? where is it located in calgary canada? what is cic mean and where is it located in calgary canada?
A:As I discovered today firsthand, CIC does not publicize their Canada Office Locations. As we had other business at a Service Canada Office, I asked there where the CIC office was located (in Vancouver), and was promptly given the address, as well as the information that they don't publicize their whereabouts for whatever reasons.
So, I recommend that you call or visit a Service Canada office in Calgary and ask them where the CIC office is. You just might get lucky and get it!

100% Q: Immigration - Canada?
Im a British citizen (born and bred here) and so is my husband. Im a nurse and I want to move to Canada. Does anyne know what I need to go and work there?
A:There are several outlets that you can use do to move to Canada. It most definately helps that you're a British citizen. Immigration to Canada works on a points system; for everything about you that the government likes you get a point or two.
For example: high education = points, nursing experience = points (we have a nursing shortage btw), British citizen - points.
You can apply for a visa which you can get at the Canadian Embassy or I am sure the embassy will mail you one if you're not close to London. Process time is rather long, normally takes months, and I've heard it taking 3 years; you shouldn't be too much of a problem because of nursing though.
If you have family living in Canada, they can sporsor you, which is easier, more advantagous for you as the points required are lower, takes less time.
I hope you do move to Canada, it's a beautiful country. We love the British, but then again, we love pretty much ever country in Canada. If you want to continue in the medical field, I suggest thinking Vancouver, Montreal, or Toronto (which has some of the best and renowned medical centres in the world....but I think you already knew that)
Best of luck!
