There will be 34 people attending the family reunion. Valerie estimates she needs 1/2 cup of potato salad per person. Potato salad is sold in 4 cup containers. How many containers will Valerie need to buy.

A:You should be able to find some good resource books at your local library. They should have books on the subject of business writing (when I took business writing in college we had a textbook that gave examples of these types of letters.) There should be several companies that write "style guide" books- those types of guides would have examples.

Hi! I have to draw a political cartoon on that event. I am thinking of drawing a male teacher giving out homework. The date is July 4, 1776. The teacher will give homework to the guys, and homework to the girls, african americans, and natives. What rights did the male have after the declaration had been declared? What did the males have that th females, and African Americans didn't? HELP!

A:I believe I did the same project. When the Declaration of Independence was declared, I believe that the males got the right to to basically be liberated from Britain, and to do progandas about Britain. Well, females stayed the same, there's no changes, they can't vote, and I guess they can't be eduacted. African Americans in that time were controlled by Europeans. They can't be part of anything. I suggest, to keep that idea about the teacher, just instead let one guy stand up like he passed a test. That idea symbolizes "Rights of Man", the females stood there. The teacher just looked through the African Americans like they weren't part of class. The natives, I guess more cultural, focus but not as well as the guys.

100% Q: How can I help my kid with his homework without getting frustrated?

My 8 year old just started third grade and we have had a problem with him and homework ever since about 1st grade. He makes really good grades in school, but when it comes to his homework, he doesn't seem to remember anything he learned in school. His class and test scores are always good so we don't understand where the break down is. Also when we try to help him, and make him think, instead of just giving him the answer he gets upset and starts crying and fidgeting. It is very frustrating when we know he can do it, we don't know how to make him see that he can do it.

A:i have a feeling he just hates homework.. uh oh! he has his whole life to hate homework! lol.. is it possible to leave him alone to do the homework, and wait til he asks for help? and make sure he knows if he finishes it as soon as he can, he gets to watch tv, or invite a friend over.. ? sometimes kids respond to that negative reinforcement.... id also suggest a teacher/parent conference, find out what and how your child acts in class. does he follow along, or ask the teacher for help a lot? perhaps the teacher has some good tips on how to encourage him? good luck~...it's great he's getting good grades.. positively reinforce That anyways! :)
