healthcare forms
Providing healthcare, especially of an adequate standard, is a complex and challenging process. Healthcare is a vital and emotive issue - its importance pervades all aspects of societies, and it has medical, social, political, ethical, business, financial etc. ramifications. In any part of the world healthcare services can be provided either by the public sector or by the private sector, or by a combination of both, and the site of delivery of healthcare can be located in hospitals or be accessed through practitioners working in the community, such as general medical practitioners and dentists.....

100% Q: Do you think all other first world nations are wrong for providing forms of Universal Healthcare?
There are very few of what are considered first world nations that don't provide some form of Universal Healthcare. In Spain the right to healthcare is even written in to the constitution.
Do you think they are wrong for doing so?
A:No they are not wrong. It is a matter of degree.
The dirty little secret is that the US also provides "some form of universal healthcare". No person entering a US emergency room is going to be turned away from life saving medicine due to lack of funds.

100% Q: Is universal healthcare a form of socialism? To fix healthcare why not follow the money?
Why not let the free market work itself out?
Where's all the healthcare dollars going to? Doctors, insurance companies insuring doctors as well as patients, hospitals, drug companies, lawyers?
mrs. bass, nowhere in the constitution says all lives must be saved at all costs.

100% Q: What is the difference between socialized medicine and single-payer healthcare?
From my understanding, socialized medicine is when the government runs all aspects of healthcare: the funding, hiring, and managing of all work in hospitals. Single-payer just requires the government to fund public healthcare but hospitals would remain independent and privately owned and managed. Do you agree? What can you add?
I know people will hastily comment that these two systems are the same and will result in communism and so on. Please. Every other industrialized country has some form of government managed healthcare that is drastically more significant than the anarchy of the US system (you get what can, which is just harsh and subtle chaos).
A:They're kind of indefinite terms, so its hard to equate them confidently.
But yeah, they are essentially the same.
Yeah, the US is abit paranoid about communism and socialism.
And we're suffering with poor, inefficient healthcare accordingly.
You're going to see a lot of rants about how communism is bad, but most of the ranters are simply repeating what their parents have told them. Pure Communism and Socialism are not workable systems, and quickly devolve into some power-based government that would be deplored by Marx, but most of the people who rant haven't read Marx and don't understand the base concepts - only that it doesn't work and the resulting failed governments were some of the most dangerous ever on the planet.
Socialism doesn't work. Pure Capitalism is outright cruel.
We're looking for something in between, and yes, socialized medicine is a logical reasonable response - especially based on other country's success with it.
And for all those who complain about lines ... you ever waited for emergency care in a big American hospital? The care under single-payer is as good, and accessible to everybody.

100% Q: How many Christian Republicans out there are for some form of Universal Healthcare?
Did Jesus ask for an insurance card before healing the sick?
Hmm...I dunno, the 3 trillion dollars spent in Iraq could have helped...perhaps.
A:I pay a sh!t load for health insurance and I am AGAINST universal healthcare.
UNiversal healthcare is just another way to take away more of our freedom. Why would I want someone else making my medical desissions for me. Why would I want someone else deciding if and when I get to see a doctor or get treatment ? Universal healthcare will be one of the WORST things to ever happen to this country.
If you think that you wait for a long time to see a doctor now or have an operation, etc......just wait and see how long you will wait if universal health care is passed. People will be dieing before they get the help they need

100% Q: Should We Fund Healthcare With All The Money We Save By With-holding Funds From Sanctuary Cities ?
Some form of healthcare is probably inevitable . Whenever it does happen , let's just hope that it's done right.... . although I'm not holding my breath with the government in charge of it .
But funding must be withheld from Sanctuary Cities . So why not put that money aside for future healthcare costs ?
I do love the goose and gander game !!
A:How about the government just lets ME decide how I want to live my life.
I'm tired of all these whiny people standing in line with their hands out.
I invested in myself, I got a college degree AND a graduate degree.
I participate in a health plan that has NO monthly premium.
I have the capacity to make my own decisions, and I'd prefer that the government doesn't intervene for the small percentage who can't make wise decision on their own. the only thing that accomplishes is making EVERYONE ELSE SUFFER.
You make bad decisions in life, you SHOULD have to pay for them. I'd appreciate if people would stop taking my money and giving it to others. I'm very philanthropic, I give my time and my money VERY generous to worthy causes - I don't need the government telling me how to spend my money and I certainly don't want to be FORCED to supplement YOU and YOUR bad decisions. If that sounds harsh, I don't really care.
It's MY money, I EARNED it and I shouldn't have some @ss-clown politician taking it from me.
So in case it isn't clear, although your idea sounds very reasonable, I don't WANT a healthcare system - I like ours just the way it is. I prefer choices and I prefer short wait times, good doctors and the ability to live my life with out interference of any kind.
