Any books, good up to date websites, or classes? I've got a business and need it to come up in the search engines better. I have meta tags, but don't know much html. How do I know what Yahoo and Goggle are looking for. The tech pages they have are over my head. Are 3rd party companies worth the money to have them do this for me?

A:If you hope to get a load of returning visitors, you have to have content that poeple like and tell their friends about, and keep updating it with new things that make people want to keep going to it, and it's gotta look good. The better looking, the more people want to be affiliated with it. Also, make friends, and share links. Join web rings, give the links to your friends who are interested, and an interactive element like a message board, or such, will (if handled correctly) keep people coming back. 1. Link to other pages, and have them link to you. 2 Use relevant META tags for keywords and description 3. Submit the site to: = http://www.coolsiteoftheday.com/ ................ Add your URL to google = http://www.google.com/addurl.html = 4. Announce your website in many online forums. 5. Register your url with google and as many other search engines as possible. 6. Just fill out the info. and the spiders will go to your site. 9. Add your url to your business card and pass them out. 10. Put a link in your signatues so that every email/post you make will be seen by search engine bots and taken into account. 100% Q: Why subscribe to Usenet when I could just do a search on google?

Isn't it the same thing? I hear that the biggest forum of all is still "Usenet." That's the same as "newsgroups" which can all be searched on goggle using the "news" option, right? Do many people still use it? Perhaps I'm missing out on half the internet. The "web" is only part of it.

A:For fast servers and downloading of binary content, mostly. ISPs and a few others provide premium Usenet service. It costs money to run the service and generally is not supported by advertising far as I know. It is a service something like an email server, a private server to send messages from, only these are discussion groups rather than email. You are correct that the web is only part of the Internet, although a big part. And Google Groups has put much of Usenet on the web.

I don't mean goggle images or yahoo image search. I dont want to type a word and have images of that word come up. I have a picture and I want to find its location on the web... where it comes from. A search engine where you put in the picture and it will give you similar images found on the web. Does such a thing exist?

A:Right click this page and select "View Source" and look at the top of the document for the tags. You'll need to change the same tag attributes Title, Description, and Keywords for your site.

A:dont listen to any of these answers previously posted. Why? becuase they are showing you how to clear your history....if they listened to your question they would see you want to clear your saved form information. To clear the list and start fresh: 1. open firefox 2. go to tools>options 3. select the privacy tab 4. select the forms section 5. click on the button "clear saved form data now" Thats it. now the history is gone, and your new visited sites will start to show up. enjoy
