I am planning to buy a gas station located on Route46. i was wondering whats the average profit for gas stations ! i heard its between 1.5 million to 3 million annually. is it a good business.. i wanted to ask a gas station owner but i couldnt get hold of any. thanx route 46 in NJ

A:There is no way a person can give you the answer that you are looking for. I had three different stations and all three earned differing amounts. You want to know then go to the station and ask to see their books. I would buy no business with out looking at the books first.

I work in a small store and gas station and the owner charges 20 cents more per gallon over what he pays for it. How much does the average owner make per gallon?

A:20cents per gallon profit may not even cover the electricity and labor involved.We as a nation need to say enough is enough.I have parked my truck and it will not run unless I absolutely need to go.We will not last much longer economically before a major depression will hit and then all hell will break loose.

100% Q: How does a gas station know when to either raise or lower gas prices?

I know that it has a lot to do with market fluctuation but how does a gas station know when to change the price? And who gives them the order to change it? And why does it change so often? I just generally want to know the process a gas station takes in order to change their prices.

A:They just know when do it! Plus I think the market might have something to do with it. Plus the super panty just knows those things!

100% Q: How did the gas station do to charge my credit card twice?

The gas station charged my credit card twice with two different amounts. Of course I only filled up once with just one receipt. I hope it was not intentional. But you never know. How do they do it to your credit card either intentional or just a mistake. How do they process your credit card technically in either case?

A:It could be that the transaction didn't clear the pump and the next person just charged on your card. Dispute the charge with your credit card company.
