franchising companies
Franchising refers to the method of practicing and using another person's philosophy of business. The "franchisors" authorize the proven methods and trademarks of their businesses to "franchisees" for a fee and a percentage of gross monthly sales. Various tangibles and intangibles such as national or international advertising, training, and other support services are commonly made available by the franchisor. Agreements typically last five to twenty years, with premature cancellations or terminations of most contracts bearing serious consequences for franchisees.....

100% Q: list of franchising companies in the philippines and the cost of each franchise?
A:I have not seen a detailed list of franchising opportunities in the Philippines online. Most of the available lists are US-based and costs pertain to US operations, not international franchises.
Check with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) or the companies directly. Jollibee, for example, has information on how to franchise their business on their website http://www.jollibee.com.ph/corporate/franchise.htm

100% Q: What are good companies to franchise in the US?
What are good franchise companies in the US?
I wanna start a business in the US and want to know which companies are good to franchise for first-timers. May it be food, service, etc. I guess the real question is what franchise company can u suggest a 25 year old guy with just enough resources to start with.
By the way,im from the Philippines (that's in asia)and want to start life anew in the US with my own business. all i got is a little money, some business know how and the drive to succeed.
I hope you can help me with your honest and serious insights, thanks again.
A:Entrepreneur.com releases an annual top 500 franchises, and you can find the list of the top franchises for 2006 in this URL:
http://www.entrepreneur.com/franzone/rank/0,6584,12-12-F5-2006-0,00.html
Click on any franchise in the list that interests you and you can get information about that franchise -- from costs involved, company background, franchisee requirements, and other information.
According to the list, the top 10 franchises for 2006 and the start-up costs are as follows:
1 Subway (Submarine sandwiches & salads) = $70K-220K
2 Quiznos Sub (Submarine sandwiches, soups, salads) = $71.7K-251.1K
3 Curves (Women's fitness & weight-loss centers) = $38.4K-53.5K
4 UPS Store, The (Postal, business & communications services) = $138.7K-245.5K
5 Jackson Hewitt Tax Service (Tax preparation services) = $49.8K-94K
6 Dunkin' Donuts (Donuts & baked goods) = $179K-1.6M
7 Jani-King (Commercial cleaning) = $11.3K-34.1K+
8 RE/MAX Int'l. Inc. (Real estate) = $20K-200K
9 7-Eleven Inc. (Convenience store) = Varies
10 Liberty Tax Service (Income-tax preparation services) = ($42.3K-52.4K)
Given the $1=P51 conversion, choosing Jani King for example may cost you P1.734 million pesos. If cost is an issue, Entrepreneur.com has a list of low-cost franchises and home-based franchises that you may want to consider. You will have to show to them that even at your young age you are competent to run the business and has general business experience. Given that you will be coming from the Philippines, they may ask you for proof that you are legally able to work and do business in the US
Hope this helps

A:If you've got only a "little money" then franchising may not be for you. Franchising is a more expensive route to start a business. Whereas you can launch an online publishing business for less than $1000, you need at least $50,000 for a franchise.
One very important thing to remember is that you are an immigrant, and that will make it difficult for you to raise funds. Unlike in the Philippines which does not have a centralized credit reporting agency, here in the US everything (and I mean everything - buying a car, house, renting an apartment, etc.) is dependent on your credit history. As an immigrant, you have 0 credit history (though no fault of your own). Hence, if credit card companies give you credit, or car dealers give you a car loan - you will ALWAYS get the highest and worst interest rates. Banks will hardly extend you credit unless you have collateral to show them because they cannot judge your past credit performance (no credit history, remember).
It's actually kind of funny - they won't give you credit because you have no credit history, but no one would give you credit so how can you build a credit history! Trust me, I know. I too was from the Philippines before moving to the US, and banks rejected my loan application that I want to use for starting a business because I had no credit history!

100% Q: I work as a nail technician and would to open my own businiess, where can i find out about companies?
I need to find a franchise nail company name. But i dont know where to find out information about nail companies that are available. Where can i look?
A:Check with your local Chamber of Comerce, Better Business. Then the local library should have books on "Starting your own business". You could even check to see how many business like what you want to open are already in your area--- to many of the same type of business in same area, everyone loses. Some towns even have lists of people who have retired that are willing to talk and advise people wanting to start a business.
