A:Does anybody really care what a pizza taster says? It's pizza. If it's hot, cheesy and tomato-ey with some kind of extra topping, it's all good. Honestly, most people eat it so quickly they have no real idea what it tasted like! I had a 1 shop pizza store as a client - reported profits of $85,000 a year. That doesn't include what the owner skimmed from the tax man, and the pizza was crap.

If you're interested in owning a franchise, then surely the things that matter to you are not so much what snooty-nosed restaurant critics think but, first, what the chain-pizza restaurant going public think about the food, second, whether you personally believe in the product and you'd be happy to be associated with it and, finally, practical things to do with the franchise like how much it costs, what you're getting for your money and the competition where you can open your business. I live in Italy. The pizza you get here is nothing whatsoever like the stuff you get in a Pizza Hut, whether that's in Amsterdam, London or Poughkeepsie, but people in Italy keep on going to their local pizzeria and people in Poughkeepsie keep going to their local Pizza Hut. What the food "experts" think about the stuff on offer is pretty irrelevant.

A:A business-law attorney is your best bet. Contact your local bar association for a referral or a chamber of commerce. What they charge will vary widely depending on the size of your community, size of the firm, and if the lawyer is a "hot-shot" type with a big name. If you know a good paralegal personally, you can ask them and they may be able to help you - but if you go to a firm most of the time the actual attorney will do the advisement.
