I have to ship about 5 boxes weighing between 25-75 pounds, and I need to know if federal express is way more expensive than the post office, as fed ex will pick up at home.

100% Q: Can Federal Express refuse to deliver ?

Can Federal Express. UPS etc refuse to deliver packages due to an aggressive dog. I had a package arrive this morning and the carrier couldn't even get out of the van due to my neighbors dog. The driver was very nice about it, but I wondered if I can take this to the homeowners association, since nothing else has worked to get these lowlifes to control that animal. We have a cluster box at the end of the street(which is quite a little walk) so it doesn't really effect the mail carrier.

Does the mailing service Federal Express work overnight and over the weekend. It's friday and I wan't to make sure that I'll have this laptop that's shipping to me by Monday.

A:yes they do, but the shipper would have had to select that option. the best bet is to call FedEx directly and see if they can track it based on your name and address. also, since it's an expensive item it may require a signature upon delivery.

100% Q: How do i sue federal express for causing me to miss work and failing to deliver a package on time?

My package was shipped on 10-10-06. It was supposed to arrive on 10-12. I was home on 10-12 through 10-14 and they never showed or called. It turns out after contacting the customer service line that they had new people who could not find my house (which is EASY ton find and i've had many fed ex and other packages sent there). I want to sue them for my time(i should have been at work) and stress. How do i do this? I can't afford a lawyer and don't want to waste much more of my time, but i feel like i deserve to be given proper compensation.

A:It's unfortunate but unless you feel like losing out on more time at work that you may or may not be compensated for, cut your losses and get a credit for shipping or file a claim with FEDEX (if needed) on your package. If you've received your package already, let it go. I work for a shipping company that will remain nameless (not FEDEX) and we've received every legal threatening customer service call you can think of that ends in nothing but a simple credit for shipping or claim. Never in my 10 years have I seen a case go to court. Besides it's not even worth it after court and legal fees not to mention the HUGE headache. So unless you get a lawyer that is even willing to take a case like this, you're out. Good luck.
