example job resume

A résumé, commonly written "resume", is a document that contains a summary or listing of relevant job experience and education. It is closely related to a similar document, a curriculum vitae (CV)[1] which focuses more on education, publications, and other accomplishments. Both are typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview, when seeking employment. The résumé or CV is typically the first item that a potential employer encounters regarding the job seeker, and therefore a large amount of importance is often ascribed to it.....

A:What are you working as? Hospitality? Retail? Are you working? Casual? Part Time? Full Time? All these should be added in your resume. Sub headings on the resume should include: Personal Details: - Your address - Your phone number (preferably mobile) - Licenses (Note: Do not put your age. It's a DISCRIMINATIVE factor. Let the employers guess your age) Objective: What the job means to you and what would it achieve in the future? Personal Attributes: From how you work as a group or individually, your personality etc. Other Skills and Abilities: Mention anything that you are good at which can help affect the job you are currently applying for Education: State what you are currently undertaking and the latest course you have complete (eg. Completed Year 12) and add the year when the course was completed Awards received: From High Academics to subject achievements. State the best. Make sure you dont' over do it Work History: Where and when you worked in your previous life. Add responsibilities as well Referees: This is where you state other people who know about you. This is for reference for the employer to call up so they can learn more about you from those people that you state here. They cannot be friends or families. And you must put a minimum of 2 people here Good luck!

100% Q: What are the consequences of lying on a job application, not a resume?
I am interested to know what the consequences are, besides getting fired, if you have been found to have lied on a job APPLICATION? Not the resume. For example, if you check off "no" to the question "have you ever been convicted of a crime," when you really had been convicted of a crime. Could you be sued? Could you face new charges?
A:Same as lying on a resume, grounds for immediate dismissal. If the job required a clean record, there could be other charges applied.

100% Q: how do i write a job resume? Can i have an example?
A:Besides setting all margins to 1", the most important criteria for setting up a professional resume besides relevant text, is "scanability." Here are some helpful tips: 1. Place just below your identification header [your hame, address, phone, email address] any Conditional Warning Statement such as "Confidential Resume,"Do Not Contact Current Employer," etc. 2. Always fill-in an Objectives category [just below the Conditional Warning Statement] and make sure that he Objective will contribute to the profitability of your future employer; 3. Select a mono-type font such as Helvetica, Arial, Courier or Times Roman; do not select any cursive handwriting styles which cannot scanned; 4. Keep font sizes within a range of 10 to 12 pts.; 5. Avoid styling text with a justified alignment, keep it flushed left; 6. Instead of using tabs to set up blocked text entries, generate a table and use the column and row settings accordingly; 7. Do not place an i.d. picture anywhere on the resume, this is a major taboo due to discrimination issues; 8. Do not place any graphic text [saved as .gifs] onto the resume since it may be overlooked during the scanning phase; 9. List at the very end of the resume your interests which should include travel experiences, language skills, social interactions such as golf, team sports, tennis, etc. In conclusion, the above helpful hints were designed to allow ease of scanning of your resume into PDF which can then be text captured for seach purposes by your potential employer. If the original resume was created in Word, WordPerfect or Mac Appleworks, it can be Saved As a PDF file which then can be saved as an email attachment. Otherwise, you can simply use a scanner and scan a hard copy of the resume and then save as a PDF file. Failure to conform the resume to appropriate fonts and styles as outlined above will result in rejection of the resume simply due to the inability of the scanning device to properly index relevant resume entries. Good luck!
