100% Q: Maths - Books to study everyday maths ie percentages?

I would like to brush up on my maths, particularly in maths used in everyday life, such as understanding percentages (ie percentage increase in a sale or decrease in a loss) and to build more confidence and aptitude in this and other areas of maths. Can anyone suggest any books, websites etc for this please. Thanks x

A:I strongly recommend the "STP National Curriculum Mathematics" series published by Nelson Thornes. I am using them to teach my daughter and they are full of helpful explanations and exercises. Many text books nowadays have too many pretty drawings and little explanation. Every school should be using these books! I do not know which level of maths you have already achieved so I cannot recommend any particular volume in the series. However, the 7A and 7B books are aimed at Year 7s, 8A & 8B at Year 8s etc. You can choose either the A series or the B series, the A series being the more challenging of the two.
