A:Aerospace: the weight of an aircraft vs. the lift the wings will create. The wind resistance (drag) from the aircraft vs. the thrust given by the engines/propeller. Everthing HAS to balance out for the aircraft to work: weight = lift drag = thrust If it doesn't balance, the airplane doesn't work. Obviously there is a lot of calculations involved into finding all those values, but you get the basic idea. Hope this works!

A:well addition and subtraction can be used almost every day in your life - basic math is hands down the most important. I can't say the same about everything else. I'm not sure what math you take, but things in calculus and trigonometry really don't apply to life.. As for specific things? events like going to the supermarket, getting house work done, etc. that's where geometric functions can be most useful.

A:A bowl of water. What sinks and what floats? (wood clothespin, rock, etc.) Sand and different sized cups. What does full mean? Half full? Empty? Cardboard cut in different shapes and painted happy colors. What is round? What is square? Wood scraps painted in different colors. Used for building or sorting by size or color. Fruit Loops cereal and yarn. Make necklaces while counting and learning colors. (Expect some unauthorized eating!) Baby food jars. Salt colored different shades with food coloring. Layer colors of salt in jar until jar is full to the very top. Fit lid on tightly, creating 'sand sculpture'.
