A:Why don't you make like that earth giving birth..to a new clean earth.. Or maybe you can make the old earth...and then on the flip side have a NEW BABY EARTH! give it like a rattle..maybe a diaper. IDK. haha.

A:What would really be cool is if you created your poster out of recycled items!! You could glue paper bags, small empty clean milk carton, batteries, old clothing, empty water bottles to your project. The whole thing could be on old cardboard instead of posterboard that you would have to buy. You could create/spell out the word 'Earth Day' out of small recyclables (like batteries for the straight letters and old light bulbs for the 'A's.) You could also cut out some of the letters in old clothing. Good ideas if you really don't want to draw anything. You could tell your teacher that you created the whole project out of recyclable items you already had laying around your house. If you really want to draw something, you could use words like 'Conserve' or a slogan like 'Gentle footprints for today will ensure a path for tomorrow' ( I stole that one from MDNR site). You could draw a toothbrush and a facet with water running out of it. Put both in a circle to show that they are supposed to be a single image and then but a pig X over the faucet and running water. (This is supposed to promote turning off the faucet when brushing your teeth.) You could draw an energy efficient light bulb. ( it's basically the same as a regular light bulb except that it has a swirling top instead of a round globe. ( http://www.fs.utoronto.ca/Assets/recycle.gif ) or find it on a product and cut it out and paste it on! That's all I got.

Here's part of the WIKI article about earth day (whose flag shows planet earth as seen from space/orbit) - - April 22 is also the birthday of Julius Sterling Morton, the founder of Arbor Day, a national tree-planting holiday started in 1872. Arbor Day became a legal holiday in Nebraska in 1885, to be permanently observed on April 22. According to the National Arbor Day Foundation "the most common day for the state observances is the last Friday in April . . . but a number of state Arbor Days are at other times to coincide with the best tree planting weather."[19] It has since been largely eclipsed by the more widely observed Earth Day, except in Nebraska, where it originated.
