A:Earth Day Poem: This is about making people aware that there is many things to do out there Every Year people gather to find solutions to cut down on pollution in the schools cities and the countries Such things that can be done picking up the trash around where you live along with recycling this means reusing and reducing what is out at a landfill. Most of the things thrown away there can be recycled of cans bottles newpapers Instead of driving to short distance places either walk or ride the bike. Composting is another way

100% Q: Do you like my Earth Day poem?
The Sun seems too hot everday. The Moon is just running away. What are we to do? What are we to do? Staying is not an answer. There's no cure for cancer. We seem like a race of shame. Yes, we are all the blame. Today, is Earth Day. Yet, we scream more oil. Are we crazy, are we dumb? Maybe we're too smart of bums! Make it right. Make it right. We don't have all night! Tomorrow might be the day... So please, don't delay. The finishing of all tasks is at stake. So get going, do it for your own sake.
A:awesome!

A:'Remember ' by Zane Beck www.myspace.com/zanebeck Walk into the river Put your hands into the water Feel it thru your fingers Move against the current Remember that you’re walking Where other things are living Make time to remember It’s dangerous to forget Walk out in the sunshine Take another breath in Look at all the colours Celebrate your vision Listen to the sweet things That your ears are saying Feel the heart that’s beating Beneath you in the ground

100% Q: Earth Day, a poem for Mom. What do you think, sheep?
Earth Womb: Towering spires and steeples, insurmountable, Gorgeous grassy and wooded gullies and glens, From the rushing torrent of mountain spring To meadow side creek And sequestered estuary, All manner and matter of rock and eco-habit, Exalted mountains, stretched, Yawning over landscape: Panoramic acres of Mother Terrestrial… And the life of this mount, From creatures of the bustling metropolis, To silent solitude willed by Fertility, Seeks its prey, Beguiling and beguiled always, Precariously caught in the balance… Individuals and civilizations, All told, cannot live Beyond the glimmer of dawn Beheld in the eye of this Matronly Orb… Raising these miracles Toward higher and higher peaks, Reaching skyward: the Earth Womb Torn at the source, In eons unwitnessed, Never ceasing, never resting, Starts and stops In half finished birthing pains… Cut open the Mother! Enough blood Flows To wet the pen And leave a signature
A:When you're not trying too hard to be "poetic" there are some memorable lines in this work. I think you should go back and prune some of the verbiage. The third line, for example, is a real mouthful, unnecessarily wordy. Why "sequestered" estuary? Just for the assonance? I don't get that meaning at all. "Mother Terrestrial" made me think of Mother Teresa. Was that deliberate? If so, why the joke? "Matronly Orb" is another hollow attempt at the "poetic" style. It really doesn't convince. Powerful ending; and when you don't overegg the pudding, the poem's really quite impressive.
