100% Q: Easy way to memorize Drug Information?

I am an EMT-Paramedic student and must memorize about 50+ drugs with the following specific information: Class, Method of Action, Indications, Contraindications, Side Effects and dosages (most important). I find that I am getting confused the more I learn each drug. They are all running together. Does anyone have a neat way to memorize drug information? I typically do well with acronyms, etc.

A:It sucks doesn't it!! I'm Learning pharmacology for my nursing degree ,I know how overwhelming it feels!! I tried acronyms, associating friends with certain drugs (In my case I had the psychiatric drugs down pact haha) but nothing really seemed to be helping.Until a close friend of mine suggested flash cards! I went to walmart and bought a huge pack of colored note cards.I sorted the drugs by Class and labled dosages,Contradictions,Side effects ,Etc on them. For example.... I made the benzodiaphines blue note cards and Antidepressants yellow, and so on and so forth. I keep these note cards with me in my purse and take them out and memorize them every chance I have.I would just write the name of the drug on the blank part of the note card and try to remember doesages and whatnot that way.When I think I'm sure.. I turn the card over to see if I am right! Hope this helps!!
