100% Q: What are some contraindications for LSD, or some harmful drug interactions?
Of course there are no indications for taking LSD according to the FDA, it's illegal.
A:While there is no FDA approved use of LSD, some studies have shown it's been useful in the treatment of cluster headaches and certain forms of clinical depression.
Interactions: LSD's MOA seems to be with 5HT receptors as well as dopamine receptors, so any medication that acts on or stimulates the release of substances that acts on these receptor may have an interaction. So, antipsychotics like haldol or zyprexa as well as all classes of antidepressants TCA's, MAO-I or SSRI's may have interactions either enhancement or blocking the effects of LSD.
Also LSD has significant cardiovascular effects so hypertension or any cardiac abnormality would be a contraindication.
LSD may also exacerbate existing mental disorders like schizophrenia or other severe mental disorders.

100% Q: Which web language most suitable to build a drug database web application?
I have a website --> psychresidentonline.com <-- that I would like to add a pharmacology
'database' (for lack of a better word) of about 50-75 drugs.
Basically I want users to be able to click on any drug and quickly have a page refreshed with that drug's data, with all pages having the exact same format, i.e. drug indications, contraindications, etc. all organized into different sections. Godaddy doesn't support PHP, so that' not option. I would prefer that this be a client-side application as I would like the information on the page to change as quickly as possible, i.e. not reload the page, or not have to go to the server and back. I definitely don't want to have 50-75 separate html pages! Can this be done with JavaScript, AJAX - with some XML or MS SQL serving as the data repository? I can normally figure out how to tackle these problems, but the more time I spend in the computer book isles at the bookstore, the more confused I get. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.
A:It could certainly be done client-side with JavaScript. Put your "database" into an Array in a single *.js file. Prob'ly put the functions for managing the "database" into the same file. Have the links in your HTML base page invoke calls to a function that simply replaces the contents of a div in the base page with the info pertaining to that drug item.
You could include markup in the "database" or have the retrieval function call a markup function that follows rules for each aspect of the drug item. For instance, you could have your "database" Array structured with one row per item but a set number of columns, each of which is reserved for a particular aspect of the info, e.g., trade name, chemical name, uses, contra-indications, etc. The markup function would apply its rules to compose one string with the markup specific to each of those aspects and then use either DOM methods or JavaScript to replace the old content in your info div with the newly marked-up info for the requested item.
The drawback is that you send everybody all of the data, whether they want it or not - bigger bandwidth demand. Once loaded, however, it would be fast.
As an exercise in stupid JavaScript tricks, paste the following into your favorite text editor, replace the leading periods with blanks ('....' --> ' '), save it as an HTML and pull it up in your favorite browser.
