100% Q: Anyone have a link to a web site where I check out a Doctor's track record in Canada?

A doctor is reccomending some tests that have risks involved. He said that if I was concered about it that I could check out his track record. Where would I go on the web to find that out?

100% Q: I am looking for free web site that allows me to see if disciplinary action has been take against my doctor?

I'd like to know if actions have been filed on a national and state level against my doctor. I imagine there has to be a Web site that logs these, some kind of professional association, maybe...? I don't think I should have to pay for it, this kind of info should be public.

A:You don't say where you live. If in the US, doctors are regulated by the state they are licensed in. Try your state government web pages to see who licenses doctors and whether they have a database you can access. In the US the only federal involvement with your doctor is the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) which licenses your doctor to prescribe drugs. You may want to visit the DEA website to see if they maintain a database on doctors prescribing licenses.
