100% Q: Does anyone use Delta Dental in California? Have you had any good experiences with them?

I had several teeth implanted - for which I did not expect them to pay. Recently, two front teeth broke when I fell - should they not repair and/or replace them just as they would if they were your real teeth? I've been a member of Delta for years and they've always had an excuse for paying for absolutely nothing.

A:I've worked with Delta Dental in both Texas and Nevada, and I've only heard good things. No, the implants would not be covered as though they are natural teeth, because they are not natural teeth. Because of the detail that goes into creating implants with both the oral surgeon and the dentist that created the final crown (if you had two dentists) any incidental damage falls into the 'other' category. The dentist(s) provided you with post-op instructions, and you cannot have them re-done as a result of a fall/accident. I know that's not what you wanted to hear. You could argue the claim, but that could take months with no guaranteed resolution in your favor. Dental insurance is only meant to supplement payments, not fully cover treatment, unlike medical insurance, unfortunately. Make sure your dentist has accurate radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral pictures to send to the insurance company. That always helps with resolving any non-payment issue. You have a right to request copies of both.

I am looking for a broker for Delta Dental Insurance and interested in getting the Delta Premier Coverage. However, I don't know where to call since the Delta Denta site has no contact numbers. I don't have a dental insurance from my employer.

100% Q: What companies provides PPO, No wait time: dental plan and pays for at least 50% of all services& major serv?

Companies contacted: Blue Cross of California - negative Delta Dental - in progress any other ones? needs to be PPO not HMO I am looking for a NO WAITING PERIOD

A:i use metlife dental, i am not sure on the wait period for them though because i get it through my employer and was already covered when they switched to the metlife providers. it covers 100 % of preventative, 70% to 50% for crowns, dentures, inlays, onlays, oral surgery etc. hope this helps some

I live in California and need dental insurance that will cover oral surgery due to the fact that I need my wisdom teeth taken out. It also needs to cover braces. Insurance with Delta Dental ran out. No answers regarding dental discount plans please. I just need insurance.

100% Q: Which dental insurace is better?

Either Delta Dental or Liberty Dental Plan of California. Any comments on personal experiences would be appreciated. I need work done, because I think I might have an "impacted wisdom tooth".

A:Ameriplan is not dental insurance and, therefore, not regulated. Delta is devoted 100% to dental insurance and, from my point of view, they are a good company to work with. I am not familiar with Liberty Dental Plan of CA. From your point of view, it's not so much which company, but what level of coverage you buy that matters. They ALL sell a hundred different policies. Or more.
