100% Q: How much does Delta Dental Premier pay towards wisdom teeth extractions?

If you have Delta Dental Premier as your dental insurer and/or have personal experience with the workings of dental insurance companies, it would be greatly appreciated. The codes for the extractions are 7230 and 7240 if these are of any use. Thanks!

A:You could call your dentist and they could probably tell you. My dentist always let me know the prices ahead of time or you could try calling Delta dental.

100% Q: How does Delta Dental handle multiple policies within a family?

I have had Delta Dental coverage for a number of years for my family. My daughter just went through a treatment of braces that went over the "lifetime limit" of $1000 per person. Unfortunately she still requires additional treatment and we're looking at about $3000 more. My wife is about to reenter the workforce and her employer also offers Delta Dental. What I would like to know is if Delta Dental will look at my daughter as a new account if we pick up coverage through my wife's employer? I wouldn't want to purchase Delta Dental twice if the coverage doesn't reset. I realize that most insurance companies won't allow multiple claims against the same incident (i.e. double payments) but if I drop my Delta Dental and go with my wifes, does Delta Dental lifetime limits reset? Thanks "the last don" - Experience or reference?

A:Of course, this depends on the plan, so I'll speak in general terms: If your daughter is not currently in treatment and you pick up a different plan, your wife's plan should pay out up the the new plan's lifetime max (if there is an orthodontic benefit.) Delta offers hundreds of different plans, each with their own clauses and restrictions. The best way to find out is to call Delta and tell them about your situation. If you know your wife's new group number, they should be able to tell you if "another" ortho max will apply for your daughter. Email me if you want more details.

100% Q: Does anyone have delta dental? What is the ortho coverage like? What did you have to spend out of pocket?

I have delta though work, my 14 yr old needs braces. What is the average cost? I live in Lakewood Ca. My daughter lives in Apple Valley Ca.

A:I don't have it.. but i have definately heard of it.. I have Ameriplan usa and braces under their coverage is only $2100!! so if you find out what delta is.. you can compare a little.. I pay 20 bucks a month for AmeriPlan. The plan is called dental plus, that's the one I have.. and you can call me with any questions.. CST 414-897-7471 Erika B.

100% Q: Where can I find a broker for Delta Premier Dental Insurance? I'm in Southern California?

I am looking for a broker for Delta Dental Insurance and interested in getting the Delta Premier Coverage. However, I don't know where to call since the Delta Denta site has no contact numbers. I don't have a dental insurance from my employer.

100% Q: How is kaiser and delta dental for coverage?

has anybody had problems or success with these?

A:I'm with both of them. The medical coverage is good, especially the preventative care. Delta recently changed its coverages, requiring more of a co-payment for work done beyond the covered yearly cleanings, etc. Overall I've been happy with them.
