A:I believe most Deep Web search engines are vertical, targetting a specific topic or industry. For example, CloserLook has a health-related engine, Northern Light has a business news search engine. Wikipedia, as expected, has a good article on the invisible web, with plenty of material in "Additional Reading". If you are looking for something more specific, you might add some details or ask another targeted question.

I understand that most of the portals want money but if anybody knows some good deep web resources it would be interesting, especially history. No, I don't mean like Google. The deep, or hidden web is the portion not searched by the usual search engines, such as material in databases. Probably one of the best paid ones is Lexis/Nexis, also there is Northern Light. Some info is available from CompletePlanet.com but I'm looking for others that might not be so well-known. 100% Q: How do I do a deep search on the web?

I am concerned about a particular person posting information about me on the internet and I want to know if there are any other methods other than Google, Ice Rocket or the major Meta Search Engines that would allow me to do a deep search of forums, blogs anf websites to see if he has posted information pertaining to me. I have set up several Google alerts for key words, and have tried several other things, but I know that the results are not always totally inclusive. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
