Muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high performance automobiles.[1][2] The term principally refers to American, Australian and to a lesser extent South African models. It generally describes a 2-door rear wheel drive mid-size car with a large, powerful V8 engine, and at an affordable price. Although opinions vary, it is generally accepted that classic muscle cars were produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s.[3][4][5][6] Muscle cars were built for street use and in some cases racing. They are distinct from sports cars and also from GTs, which are two-seat or 2+2 cars intended for high-speed touring/road racing. These are not generally considered muscle cars owing to their small size, relatively high cost and specialty nature. (The two-seater AMC AMX may or may not be an exception: one source queries whether it qualifies as a true muscle car or pony car,[7] but also lists it among vehicles that fit the general interpretation of both categories.[8] AMC was "never shy" about describing the car as "a genuine sports car"[9] as it was relatively inexpensive).[3]....

100% Q: Where can I find abandoned classic muscle cars?

I know there are LOTS of good abandoned cars out there that are rusting day by day. It's sad IMO. But I'm looking for a good muscle car such as an '69 Camaro, '70 Cuda, '69 Chevelle, etc. to fix up. If anyone knows where i can find abandoned lots, please let me know right away. Thanks.

A:i own a repair shop,and believe me they don't exist ,at least not that way,they have all been bought up or someone owns them ,if you see one ,you can bet it has an owner somewhere,id like to find a few too ,but there not that easy to come by any more,but good luck ,you might accidentally find one.

100% Q: I am havin trouble finding a good website for cheap restorable classic chevy muscle cars. Any suggestions?

I have always been intersted in classic cars since I was a kid. and it has been a dream of mine to fully restore a classic chevy muscle car like a 69 nova or camaro or 67 chevelle. But I am having trouble trying to find a cheap one ready to be restored. Any help would be greatly apprecitated

A:Start with Hemmings motor news. If you need cheap, than look locally, as in the largest newspaper in your state. Concentrate on 4 door models for lower prices. Understand that basket case muscle cars still sell for $5000 or more. You will never get the money out of it that you put in, but is still worth it.

100% Q: i love classic muscle cars but at the same time i feel that global warming is more important.. what to do?

i own a few classic cars such as a 68 cougar and cameros. i love to restore them more then drive them i always had enjoyment fixing them up making hot rods.. but i feel giulty because they pump alot of crap into the air.. am i doing the right thing by owning them and using them as a hobby .doing the work then just parking them in my shed? one of my cars been sitting for five years.. its a real nice what your opinion?

I just want to know what you think are the all time classics, in terms of recognition, power, and looks.

A:Thats a question that can spark a huge debate muscle cars guys will defend over their own mothers in some circles IMO I would say anything 67-73 Chrysler/dodge/plymouth Aside from the old Baracuda... I'm not a fan on the huge rear windshield.. but I can stillrespect the 413,440, 426 trinity. Gm also had a lot of nice cars, I can repsect them also Ford Only thing i liked was the Toreno
