I am looking for a phone to put my SIM card in? My old phone is broke and I was just going to by an old used phone. Will the SIM card fit into any Cingular phone? I dont know much about this. So if any one could help that would be great!
A:You need only a GSM (global system for Mobile communication) phone.
The only gsm networks in US are Cingular/AT&T and T-mobile.
Cellphones from these carriers would be compatible with your SIM card.
Stay away from CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)
Verizon,Virgen mobile and Sprint phones. They are incompatible with GSM sim cards.
You just have to buy a GSM phone from whereever you want to or you can buy from AT&T.

47% Q: When you cancel a Cingular cell phone account is the charge for all phones or just the account?
I have a cingular account and want to cancel it, is the cancellation fee for all the phones (175.00 per phone) or for just the 1 account? Thanks for any and all help with this.

A:My wife and I were thinking about canceling our two phones (on the Family Talk plan) and going to pre-paid. The Cingular guy said that if we canceled, we would be charged $175 for *each phone* on the plan.

I will be traveling to Prague over the summer and would like to know whether my Cingular cell phone will have service. If it will not, are there any other types of cell phones that would have coverage (I could borrow a family member's phone)?

Cingular and T-Mobile phones use GSM technology, which is what most of the world (especially Europe, considering it's European technology) uses.
However, the price won't be cheap. =P

43% Q: What are some good at&t (cingular) compatible cell phones to have when you do construction work?
I need a new cell phone that can take a beating and keep on working. It needs to have bluetooth and a camera and any other features would be great. It must work with at&t (cingular). I've heard there are some phones that are waterproof and impact resistant. I really like Nokia phones more than anything but I'm open to suggestions.
A:The fancier the phone the easier they are damaged. We use Pdas at work they take the abuse better than a regular phone.

A:Go to eBay and search for 'unlocked cingular cell phone" and some will come up. You just take out the Sim card inside your phone and put it in the other. I did that recently.
