When I traveled in Japan,I saw many used cars on sale. Almost these cars are new and fashion looks like not an old car. Does Japanese buy a new car and use it just few years like 3 three years then sold it and buy another new one?

A:There are several reasons. Japanese like new one. The price of cars are probably cheapest in the Asia (cos no need to worry importing tax. and other car related taxes are also cheap. Even imported car, like Mercedes and BMW are cheaper than Taiwan and Singapore). And another reason is there is special loan system. It is difficult to explain, but something like this. If the price of a new car is US$40,000, people in the world usually have to pay US$40,000+tax+ other expenses. But some car dealers in Japan deduct "resale price" first. eg. You may be able to sell the car with US$20,000 price in 2 or 3 years later. The dealer deduct this price first, then you can purchase the new car with US$20,000+tax+ expenses only. If you brought the car to the same dealer 2 years later, you can buy new model with 50% price again (real contract is more complex. There are also some risks. But outline is like this). The loan disappear within the years (2 or 3 years). That is why young people can ride new car every a few years..

Im not a dealer but i like to buy and sale cars to make money on the side. is there a certain amount im aloud to sale in the state of california without being tax or being illegal? do i need a dealers license?

100% Q: Why is there a blue law prohibiting the sale of cars on Sundays in many states?

Could it be argued that this is unconstitutional, given the fact that "blue laws" are typically in place due to someone's religious preference and the fact that the sale of cars is a pretty secular activity? OK, Small But Fierce, let me educate you a little. When I say "secular" I am using the Merriam Webster definition of the word, not your misunderstanding/lack of knowledge of the definition. I mean secular as non-religious. And the sale of cars is a non-religious activity. Second, since when is closing a business on the busiest shopping day of the week done "with the economy in mind?" Further, how could that possibly increase sales? The stupidest thing you have ever heard? I'd love to be a fly on the wall in a room where you are telling people your version of reality. I'd probably fall off, though, from laughing so hard. And Celie, I completely agree with you as it being a great idea for people to take a day off to spend with their families. Religious or not, I'm just curious as to why, in a capitalist society, there would be a law prohibiting the sale of something that has such a huge impact on our economy. I can see an alcohol ban (for a number of reasons) but I am hoping for some insight on the sale of cars. Take Orthodox Jews, for instance. They need cars like the rest of us. Their Sabbath is on Saturday while the Christian Sabbath is on Sundays. Because of this blue law, the Orthodox Jews are limited to Monday through Friday afternoon for car buying.
