100% Q: can a 1 year old male ball python live in a habitat with a baby female burmese python?

I know they can't be feed mice together but can they at least live in the same habitat together. I have a 90 gallon tank which I think should be efficient enough for both of there needs. Also if the male and female can't live together because of there sex. Whould a one year old male Ball Python be able to live with a baby male Burmese Python? I really want to get a female burmese python but I guess I could get a male, thank you for you info, it will be greatly appreciated.

A:NO!!! you should never house two different snakes together. besides, soon, that burmese will need a much larger enclosure. you might as well get it now. snakes don't need company. it would probably stress them both out, and the ball would probably go off feed. burmese are tropical, and need a more humid environment than balls. here is a care sheet for both. read up and enjoy.

100% Q: How did YOU "domesticate" your baby burmese python? Please read details...?

Please only experienced respondants only. We're familiar with the owner of NUMEROUS extremely friendly juvenile -to- adult burmese pythons, but lately he's been unavailble due to travel, and we'd like answers tonight please. We just got a baby, which we've been told is "nippy" at this stage. So, what is the most effective & quickest way to domesticate him? We've already fed him, but he bit my fiance anyway. Even with gloves he managed to leave a mark on my fiance. Do they grow out of this? How long? How can we speed up the process? (No "haters" please, no lectures on how we "shouldn't have" gotten him; yes we are aware of its size potential, and we are aware of all the horror stories being passed around.) If you can help, please give a reference...thanks!

A:Well snakes are not really domesticated animals, but the only way I know is by constant and careful handling from being babies so that they become used to it.

A:Not a good idea. Snakes are solitary. And with the dangers of diseases being spread such as Inclusion Body Disease, I wouldn't recommend it. I have 150 snakes and everyone is in its own enclosure. And I hope you do your research before getting a Burmese python. They aren't beginner snakes and will require a huge enclosure. They can be 6 to 10 feet long at a year of age. My smallest is 1 year old and 8 feet long.

100% Q: I have a baby burmese python that wont shed...how do i make it shed?

The python is about a week and a half and I was told not to feed it till it sheds and it still hasn't shed yet since it was born...I don't know what to do to make it shed...and every time i reach my hand in the tank to pick her up she gets scared and gets in the striking position...can someone help me please???

A:No reputable breeder would sell a snake that hasn't had its first shed or first meal. I'd advise to no longer do business with the person you got it from. Just wait and it'll shed when it's ready. As far as it being in the strike position, baby Burms can be pretty nippy, but are easy to tame. you'll have to handle it to tame it. Grab it from behind, or cover its head with a towel when you go to pick it up. I just hope you're prepared for the long term commitment to a very large snake.
