I saw one of the clerks from my local store looped up on something when he wasnt working. I thought Albertsons did random drug testing.

A:I work for Stater Bros. in Southern California. I do not know about other states, but here in California the companies can test for drugs during the hiring process. After that, drug tests are only performed when an on the job injury occurs. If a worker is tested positive for drugs and opts to go through rehab on company dime, then the company can do random drug tests on that employee. Just a side note, an employee can also be required to be drug tested if they damage more than three hundred dollars of product. This is per union contract.

I had a problem being racially profilled today by a girl (manager) BECAUSE I WANTED TO PAY FOR MY 5 GROCERY ITEMS AND BUY SOME SMOKES SHE DID NOT WANT TO RING MY STUFF UP! SHE CLAIMED SHE WASNT A CASHIER IT WAS CRAZY. WAS VERY RUDE AND ARGUED WITH ME INSTEAD OF JUST DOING HER JOB.I GOT THE REAL MANAGER AND AM WAITING A RESPONSE FROM HIM.SHOULD I DO ANYTHING ELS IT WAS HUMILIATING AND HER CO-WORKER ALSO REDICULED ME AND TOLD ME SHE WAS TIRED OF HEARING HER CO-WORKER AND MYSELF ARGUE ABOUT WHY SHE DID NOT WANT TO TAKE MY ITEMS.IT WAS CRAZY.WOULD YOU TAKE THIS FURTHER? IT IS THE ONLY CONVENIENT STORE TO SHOP AT AND I SHOULD'NT FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE FOR GOING THERE!
