I hear that Air Canada is not that great. I'm flying to Calgary (returning from vancouver) and booked Air Canada as I thought they would be great. People have since told me that I've wated my moeny as they are not very good..small pitch/bad food/lack of entertainment etc... has anyone got anything good to say to cheer me up?? we are flying on a A330 Thanks

A:They are Extremely safe. Plus they are just an average airline. Nothing is wrong with them. So what if west jet has TVs, their in cabin safety procedures are only 3stars. Air Canada is 4 stars. Plus, when you are flying internationally you get TVs. Like, Air Canada is really good. What's wrong with it?

100% Q: Air Canada or American Airlines? Going to Chile, which is the best airline that has best service?

Air Canada is cheaper, AA is more expensive, but I have heard mixed stories in which airline is better, can't decide someone please help.

A:I have heard mixed results with Air Canada's service. Some people think it is really good. Others have said the airline's service is poor. I am sure both airlines' service for international flights should be better than their domestic service. AA flies to more destinations in Latin and South America so their presence in the area is better. Therefore they may meets the needs of the passengers flying down to those areas better. But a question for you to think about is this. Will you be flying again and with what airline? Air Canada is in the Star Alliance. Therefore if you fly any one of the Star Alliance airlines, then you can earn mileage for a free ticket. If you will be traveling American Airlines or any of their OneWorld partners in the future, then fly American on this trip. It sounds as though you will be able to rack up some mileage on this trip so whichever airline you go with, ask to become a frequent flyer member with the airline or partner airline you think you will fly the most with in the future. If you will not be flying anytime after this trip, then you can check out seatguru.com to check the seat pitch and seat width for each of the airlines. Otherwise, you should be fine going with either carrier.

Air Canada used to be a government-owned airline in Canada. Who sold the airline to the private sector?

A:Who cares who did that, it is done and now we are getting ripped off with their prices It is unbelievable that it costs almost the same to fly from Toronto to Montreal than to Europe or Southern U.S. Don't they know that in Europe people can fly from a country to another for a fraction of that cost Imagine you can fly from Ireland to Austria for much less, and they are about 5 or 6 countries away from each other, I don't think you can find a cheap flight to go 5 or 6 countries away from Canada (which would be probably Brazil or Singapore or something like that) Unbelievable, I really hope that prime minister never gets an airport named as him Or would they say "Welcome to Yukon's Brian Mulroney International Airport"
